Marriage thoughts make me weak: Soha Ali Khan

As talks of her brother Saif Ali Khan's impending wedding continue to hog the limelight, Soha Ali Khan, who is in a steady relationship with Kunal Khemu, says she is scared of marriage. The 33-year-old actress says the thought of marriage makes her weak. "I am not a responsible person. I am a child. I don't really feel like a grown up and marriage is meant for mature people. The thought of marriage makes me weak. I think that 30 is the new 20. So, I am not tying the knot anytime soon," Soha said. Saif's wedding with Kareena Kapoor was initially said to be set for October this year but then the actor said that the date is not finalised yet. Soha, who was previously seen on TV as the host of 'Godrej Khelo Jeeto Jiyo', is all set to make her small screen comeback with makeover show 'What Not to Wear-India' alongside fashion designer Aki Narula. "Actors are apprehensive about TV. But I did not have any second thoughts regarding this show. It is a great international format. There was huge need for a show like this in India. I am not a style expert but I decided to take up this show as I wanted to share my experiences with people," she said. Asked if she is fashion conscious, Soha said, "I studied in London, so I was high street fashion conscious. For me it was more about fitting in rather than standing out. "Being in the limelight has made me more fashion forward because I am under constant scrutiny. So, I have no choice but to be fashion conscious but otherwise I am not so much into it," she added. Soha also said that even directors are taking interest in making sure that the style quotient is not compromised in films. "I am happy that films now have a more professional setup. There are sketches of what the actors are going to wear in a particular scene to see if it works with the setting. That makes things easier," she said. The actress, who was last seen on the big screen in "Soundtrack", is currently filming Tigmanshu Dhulia's sequel to 2011 film "Saheb Biwi aur Gangster". "In 'Saheb Biwi aur Gangster 2' I play a character which is innocent but has grey shades. She pretends to be a victim but in reality she is not. My character is not as aggressive as Mahi's (Gill) character in the first part but has a mysterious air around her," she said. The film also stars Irrfan Khan, Jimmy Shergill and Mahie. Source: Screen India, Image: upload.wikimedia.org

Being a Kapoor, acting is genetic: Kareena

.Subscribe
When Kareena Kapoor says that acting is in her genes, the actress, who represents the fourth generation of her family, is absolutely right as the Kapoor family enjoys about an 85-year long association with arclight, greasepaint and camera. It was Kareena's great-grandfather Prithviraj Kapoor who laid down the foundation of acting in the family by entering showbiz in 1928, which was taken forward by his three sons - Raj Kapoor, Shammi Kapoor and Shashi Kapoor whose wife Jennifer was the first female from the clan to act in movies. Later, all three sons of Raj Kapoor - Randhir, Rishi and Rajeev faced the camera. In the fourth generation, it was Randhir and actress Babita's daughter Karisma who carried forward the legacy of her family. Later, Kareena followed in her sister's footsteps. Talking about her association with filmdom, Kareena told IANS: "Being a Kapoor, acting is genetic. My sister paved the way for me in the industry when she became the first Kapoor girl to take up acting. "Reminiscing of filmdom as a child, Kareena said she would accompany Karisma, who entered filmdom in 1991 with Prem Qaidi, to the sets and has grown up with the industry. "As a child, I used to accompany Lolo (Karisma) to the sets of her films, so I've seen the industry grow and vice versa. I have nothing but the highest regards for the industry," said Kareena, who completes 13 years in filmdom and has been part of over 45 films, including hits like Ajnabee, Aitraaz, Jab We Met and 3 Idiots. Source: Hindustan TimesImage: flickr.com

Kareena Kapoor sitting idle these days

Kareena Kapoor tops the list of every Bollywood director. While film makers are waiting patiently for Bebo to come on board, she seems to be sitting idle even after blocking her calendar with upcoming projects. What seems to be keeping Bebo idle these days? Bebo had finalized dates for Prakash Jha’s movie Satyagraha with Ajay Devgn, which was to go on floor this January. However, zoOm found out that since Ajay Devgn is currently filming for Himmatwala, which got delayed because of the controversy surrounding Son of Sardar, Satyagraha will get deferred. This means Bebo’s dates are definitely being wasted! Recently, Bebo had to let go of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Ram Leela even though she had allocated dates for the same. In the past, Kareena has been forced to pass on a few films including Karan Johar’s, as her calendar was overbooked. We just hope this temporary phase in her life doesn’t leave her waiting on one foot for long. Source: Page3

Who looks lovely: Kareena Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra?

Who looks lovely: Kareena Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra?
The finale of the telly show saw both Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra promoting their respective films Heroine and Barfi!. The two ladies made separate appearance on the show, and wowed one and all with their style. Kareena looked ravishing in a Manish Malhtora orange sari and pink blouse with some intricate work done on it. In accessories she had statement earrings but kept her neck bare. Priyanka, on the other hand, opted for a short Ramona Narang dress with a hemline that ended way up her thighs. The sideward drape of the dress was surely classy, and Priyanka, with her lush tresses loose, didn’t complement it with too much accessory, save for a thin bracelet on her left wrist. The gig also saw both Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra shaking their leg on stage. While, Kareena danced to ‘Halkat Jawani’, Priyanka did look a bit conscious of her short dress while dancing to a ‘Barfi!’ number. Two pretty ladies dressed to stun. Who gets your Like? Saif, Kareena to have a December wedding in Maldives

There's fresh development in Saif-Kareena wedding drama. Saif Ali Khan has confirmed that they are getting married in December, and not on October 16, reports Mumbai Mirror. Saif told the tabloid: "And the wedding is in Maldives...100 people...December not October!" Saif had earlier told Mid-Day: "I can't confirm the date right now. Probably a couple of months down the line, I would speak to you about it. Right now it's only Cocktail, and I want to keep my professional and personal life separate," he said. Amidst so much dilly-dallying by Sharmila, Saif, Kareena and Soha, we aren't quite sure if this is the last we are hearing on this. Here's a lowdown on what went before this most recent quote of this actor surfaced. Did Kareena delay the wedding? Kareena Kapoor has reportedly decided to delay the wedding to sign on some meaty projects. Mumbai Mirror reported: "According to sources, the actress, whose Heroine is set to release on her birthday, September 21, believes she is at her career-peak. She has signed on a few other big banner projects, one of them with younger Imran Khan and she is not prepared to concede any ground to her rivals who are hot at her heels." "Especially after Bhansali's biting remark that "no married heroine" can be his Juliet, Kareena and Saif decided, it was better to focus on her career right now. In fact, sources close to the couple say they were concerned that the wedding may alter the quality of projects offered to her. And Saif, being the understanding partner that he is, did not want her to compromise," a source told the tabloid. Saif Ali Khan is on the same page as Kareena. He's also giving preference to his career now post the success of Cocktail. NON-COMMITAL SAIF: In an interview to HT he had said: “I haven’t fixed a date for my wedding! I’m yet to meet Kareena’s parents to sort out the date ... the venue is also not finalised,” says the actor, maintaining the obvious: It’s going to be a year-end wedding.” The denial had come soon after Sharmila announced the wedding date. We wonder, why Saif
and Sharmila didn't discuss in advance about the announcement. CLUELESS SOHA: When asked about her brother's wedding date, this is what Soha had to say: "I am quite confused myself. I know it is happening with the people in question, but they haven't set the date or talked about it," Soha told a daily recently, adding, "I think it is happening imminently." Interestingly, it was Soha, who had let the cat out of the bag last year. She had said: “They (Saif and Kareena) have been together for quite some time now and their relationship has grown. I can hardly wait for the wedding next year. There will be a number of functions and I am very excited about what to wear.”  UNSURE SHARMILA: Confirming that Saif will wed Kareena on October 16, Sharmila Tagore had said: "Yes, that's the date we have decided upon. There will be a reception, too, but not a very big one." After the reports of Saif denying the October 16 wedding emerged, Sharmila said in an interview to Mid-Day that her busy son will have to take out time from his shooting schedules as the date has been finalised by her once and for all, and there’s no getting away. She said it was a ’warning’ for him. TOP BUZZ ABOUT THE WEDDING: Kareena to wear Sharmila’s sharara on her wedding On her wedding day, actor Kareena Kapoor is going to honour her would-be mom-in-law and how! Kareena, who will tie the knot with actor Saif Ali Khan soon will sizzle in the sharara that
Saif’s mom Sharmila Tagore wore at her wedding 43 years ago. SCOOP INSIDE I don’t want to make a big deal of my wedding: Saif Ali Khan "Honestly, I don’t want to make a big deal of my shaadi. I want a very small affair. I feel we’ll quietly get married and announce it later. Otherwise it’ll get unmanageable in many ways," the actor said. FULL INTERVIEW  hy Saif isn't confirming his wedding date It’s been a while since his mother and sisters confirmed an October 16 wedding, but actor Saif Ali Khan still says no date has been decided upon. Is it to save fiancee Kareena Kapoor from Bollywood’s married-actress jinx that has made many leading ladies lose their career after they got hitched? READ STORY Wedding not happening in London: Saif Ali Khan The muhurat of the Bollywood's eagerly-awaited wedding between Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor remains elusive with the actor revealing that the marriage is postponed to the year-end and not going to happen in London contrary to the buzz about the change in the venue.
