Two years after Sylvester Stallone united a dream team of 80s action stars (plus Jason Statham and Jet Li) to kick some ass in a foreign jungle the gang is largely back together again for The Expendables 2, which adds even more muscle to the call sheet if you can believe it. With a cast that includes everyone mentioned above plus Chuck Norris, Jean Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Terry Crews and Randy Couture, The Expendables 2 is a dream come true for anyone who loves their action brawny and violent-- but does it actually hold up as an entire two-hour movie? Remember, The Expendables wasn't really universally beloved, though with Simon West stepping in as director this time, we might be able to expect him to bring his Con Air skills to pump up the action. And in our review from Katey, who hated the first movie, we call it "an over-the-top, slightly tongue-in-cheek action movie that revives 80s macho bloodsport while poking just enough fun at it as well."
