Aiyyaa isn't a woman-centric film: Rani Mukherji

Actress Rani Mukerji has a meaty role in Aiyyaa but feels it wouldn't be right to call it a "woman-centric" film. She says it is more of a simple love story.
"I would call it a romantic film, and I wouldn't categorize this as a woman-centric story," Rani said in a press conference here in Mumbai. The story of Aiyyaa revolves around a Marathi girl, Meenakshi Deshpande (Rani), whose parents are looking for a suitable groom for her. She falls in love with a Tamil boy, essayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. The team also showed a four-minute version of the song Aga bai from the movie. Post Aiyyaa, Rani will be seen in director Reema Kagti's Talaash. She is quite positive,
and prefers not to look back at the past. "I am doing Talaash and I am very happy talking about films that I do. There is no point talking about films that I rejected or I regret doing," she said. Source: Page3
