While most actors are busy signing New Year’s Eve live acts for an extra buck, Asin says she is no mood to join the brigade. “No, I don’t perform live, and especially on New Year’s, I would like to be with family and friends. I’ve taken a break for Christmas and New Year and will only get back to work by the end of January,” says the actor, adding that she does not work for money. “I have only five criteria for doing a film — script, my character, director, producer, co-artists. It’s never the money. I don’t have any financial considerations or pressures. I have never worked only for money. I work because I enjoy acting and it’s my passion,” she says.
