Abrams has taken a leaf from Christopher Nolan's playbook and has presented IMAX goers with a sneak preview of the movie. This 10 minute clip shows the opening minutes of the movie so, without giving anything away, can this preview increase the excitement for this movie even more? While the general consensus was that 2009's Star Trek was a great movie and a great way to reintroduce the francise as a whole, there were many die
hard fans who felt that the movie was lacking the feel of the classic series. Those doubters might be silenced when they witness first sight of Kirk and McCoy running through the red forests in this prologue. The dynamic between not only these characters but the rest of the crew in the sequence is absolutely spot on. Trekkies be warned...you might just have a favourite new TOS crew! Meanwhile mystery still surrounds our villain, "John Harrison" played by Benedict Cumberbatch was the main element of the announcement trailer but here he only appears in a couple of frames and has a minimal amount of

dialogue. His scene with Noel Clarke (Doctor Who) is still a good one and will only raise more questions as to his identity and perhaps most important...his intent. The special effects look fantastic so far and I'm sure that Abram's and his crew will still want to play around with these shots before the movie's final release in May. This Star Trek Into Darkness preview will be key in letting Abram's know just how anticipated fans and general audiences are for this latest instalment. The Verdict? Great! Can we have more? The full length trailer is released tomorrow!  Source: The Punk
