Superstar Vikram’s “I” is all set for a worldwide release on Pongal. Touted to be one of the biggest releases of the year, " I" can safely be called the world's biggest supernatural love story.
Vikram along with Amy Jackson will be seen playing the character of Lingesan who is aspires to be Mr.TamilNadu, and plays a character of being a body builder.
‘I’ is a romantic thriller that is being dubbed in Telugu, Hindi and many other foreign languages. The movie has been shot mainly in China. Further schedules were filmed in locations in Chennai,Bangkok,Jodhpur,Bangalore and Mysore.
One of the most innovative songs of the year Issaq Taari is one of the most expensive song made at a shopping budget of 6 crores. The song sees Amy Jackson convert into various wacky avatars. she converts into a mobile phone, a bubble , a bike, a dumble etc. The costume designer was Mary E Vogt, she is famously known for her work in the Hollywood blockbuster Men in Black.
The film sees Vikram play two avatars of a normal man and of a creature which closely looks like a Ogre. Vikram used to take an approximate time of 5 hours everyday to get into this avatar. And this makeup of this avatar was done by the WETA Workshop. They are world famous make up artists and have done make up for various supernatural Hollywood films like The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings.
The movie is produced by V Ravichandran at whopping budget which makes “I” the biggest film releasing on Pongal in terms of its budget and visual effects. The visual effects are designed by V. Srinivas Mohan.The DOP of the film is P.C Sriram, who is known for his brilliance with the camera. After being under production for nearly three years it’s an another visual treat from the maker of "Robot" Shankar, and is a superb combination of imagination, creativity and cinematic experience.
