Los Angeles, (IANS) The festival attendees at Locarno Film Festival were in for a surprise as actor-producer Jackie Chan reenacted his role in Bruce Lee’s ‘Enter the Dragon’ at the film festival.

Jackie Chan played a small part in the iconic film. In the past, he admitted Lee accidentally hit him with a stick during a scene – but that didn’t stop him from completing the take, reports ‘Variety’.

He said, “I’m no Superman. I am scared. Before a stunt, I go, ‘Am I going to die this time?’”. During a masterclass at the Swiss fest, he talked about his beginnings.

“That’s a long, long story. I was lazy, naughty, I didn’t want to study – that’s why my father sent me to martial arts school. I liked fighting when I was young. Later, he asked, ‘Did you like the school?’ Yes, very much. I could kick the teacher, punch someone – whatever I wanted to do”, he joked. Jackie Chan started out as a stuntman, appearing in Lee’s ‘Fist of Fury’, before eventually transitioning into acting following some childhood experiences on set.

“I went, ‘Movies are great – I can have my own lunch box’”. The star delighted the audience with his animated presence, at times seeking their help to find the right words or titles. He also opened up about his absent father, who used to send him tapes with the recordings of his voice. “If I listened to them now, I think I’d cry”.

As per ‘Variety’, he wanted to learn filmmaking from scratch. “I’d even put on my own makeup – I wanted to show the director I’m good enough”, he shared, After a while, he decided to take over directing duties as well.“I do everything, myself. Now, I tell filmmakers, ‘If you only learn how to direct, that’s not good enough’”, he added. Jackie Chan reenacts ‘Enter the Dragon’ at Locarno Film Festival | MorungExpress | morungexpress.com

Jennifer Aniston recalls fighting with studio over ‘Horrible Bosses’ ‘wig’

Los Angeles,  (IANS) Hollywood star Jennifer Aniston recalled how she battled a studio over a brunette hued wig for the 2011 comedy “Horrible Bosses.”

Aniston told Vanity Fair during a career retrospective video interview that she fought Warner Bros. to wear a brunette wig in the 2011 comedy “Horrible Bosses.” The studio wanted Aniston on-screen with her iconic blonde tresses.

“I fought for that wig. That was not an easy battle,” Aniston said.

The actress said: “I wanted (my character) to look different. The argument from the studio, and I am sorry to call you out, was that ‘we are afraid it won’t look like you.’ That’s kind of the point! I still think it might look a little bit like me. But I’m glad I fought for it and stuck to my guns.”

Aniston starred in “Horrible Bosses” as Dr. Julia Harris, a sexually aggressive dentist who is harassing her assistant (Charlie Day), reports variety.com.

The raunchy R-rated comedy, along with 2013’s “We’re the Millers,” was seen as a big change in pace for Aniston as it actively pivoted away from her persona as a “girl next door.”

“I was always seen as a girl next door or the ingenuine,” Aniston said.

“It was so fun to play something like this because it’s so far away from anything that I am. That’s what the director liked. It’s so much not what you would expect from (me). That was the fun of it. That’s what made it more creatively exciting for me obviously.”

“Horrible Bosses,” also starring Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis, Colin Farrell, Kevin Spacey and Jamie Foxx, was a box office hit with just over $200 million worldwide. The 56-year-old actress and the majority of the original cast returned for the 2014 sequel, “Horrible Bosses 2.” Jennifer Aniston recalls fighting with studio over ‘Horrible Bosses’ ‘wig’ | MorungExpress | morungexpress.com

Johnny Depp opens up about his relationship with his kids

Los Angeles, (IANS) Hollywood star Johnny Depp is reflecting on his fatherhood. The actor has said that he has "empty-nest syndrome".

The 62-year-old actor, who has Lily-Rose, 25, and Jack, 22, with former partner Vanessa Paradis, misses the days his children were still young enough to call him "Papa" and he's amazed at how quickly they have grown up, reports ‘Female First UK’.

He told ‘The Sunday Times’, “Years get away from us, don’t they?... I’m of the empty-nest syndrome”.

When asked if he misses having his kids around, he replied, “Oh man, my kids growing up in the south of France in their youth? I was Papa. I cannot tell you how much I loved being Papa. Then, suddenly, Papa was out the window. I was Dad. But Papa was awesome and I’m getting old enough for Papa to possibly come back. Some m************ going to have to call me Papa”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ star is currently living in London, but admitted the only place that has ever really felt like home was France.

He said, “Well, I don’t spend much time in the US. So there is the joint in the Bahamas or here. But home. Truly, the first time I felt I had a home was the place in the south of France where Vanessa and I raised the kiddies. That’s the only place that ever felt like home”.

Although Lily-Rose is a successful actress in her own right, Johnny would never have wanted her to follow in his footsteps.

When asked what advice he has given her, he said, “Sometimes kids say to me, ‘I want to be an actor, what’s your advice?’ And I say, ‘Don’t be!’ I know what’s coming for them. I was chucked on that road and the only advice that I can give is, ‘Don’t allow anyone to make you something you are not’. They’ll want you to be a poster boy and it’s tempting, a lot of money. And if that’s the direction you want? Go for it. But don’t let anybody choose for you”.The actor has never felt comfortable with fame and rarely even goes out with his friends because he doesn't want to bring unwanted attention their way. He said: “Well, to this day I just rarely go out. If friends invite me out for Mexican food, I say, ‘Dude, that’s sweet of you but I will ruin your night’. My presence will bring attention and, Jesus, I have had almost 40 years of fame but I’m still not used to it. And I’m glad I’m not”.
