(Photo: Jennifer Aniston/ Instagram)

Los Angeles, March 13 (IANS) Hollywood actress Jennifer Aniston has shared that she always brings her A-game to the table when it comes to self-care.

The Morning Show actress is 57 now but has always taken the time to look after her skin and ensure she is eating well, and now her focus is on how she can be at her healthiest in her "later years", reports ‘Female First UK’.

She told E! News, “I’ve always been really good about self-care. I’ve always been really good about taking good care of my skin. That was one of my many gifts my moms gave me,. Taking care of my skin, washing my face, putting my creams on. It's sort of consistent. I just take good care of my skin and my diet, all of it”.

“I look at aging now as, 'How can I maintain my health inside, outside, mental health to the best of my ability', so that I can grow into my later years as gracefully as possible”, she added.

As per ‘Female First UK’, Jennifer starts her day with a workout followed by a meditation session and she thinks the latter has been particularly important for her wellbeing.

She said, “Boy, when you do meditate consistently, there's such a difference. And it's not like something you can put your finger on and go, ‘It’s because of this’. I don't know what it is that takes place, but something does”.“It feels like it's not so much a workout for physical sculpting, even though that is the end result. It just feels like for daily life. Functioning through the world. Especially as we get older and things we forget about, all the little areas, the little muscles that keep hiding over the years that think they'll never be found”, she added. Karishma's emotional note on social media went like this, "From television sets…To reality shows…To being boxed. To being doubted. To standing at the Busan International Film Festival for Scoop. There’s something beautiful about not giving up on yourself. About choosing growth over comfort. About waiting for the role that changes your narrative. SCOOP wasn’t just a project. It was a shift. A reminder that if you stay long enough, work hard enough, evolve honestly enough… your moment will come. And when it does — it feels like home. Thank you for watching, supporting, believing! Maggie Gyllenhaal reveals her inspiration behind 'The Bride!'

(photo AI/IANS)

Los Angeles, (IANS) Actress-director Maggie Gyllenhaal has spoken up on her source of inspiration for her upcoming film ‘The Bride!’.

The actress was inspired to direct after seeing a tattoo at a party, reports ‘Female First UK’.

The 48-year-old actress and filmmaker has helmed the new Gothic romance movie and explained how it came about after she saw a man with a tattoo of the Bride of Frankenstein on his arm and decided to watch the original 1935 picture that starred Boris Karloff and Elsa Lanchester.

Maggie, who made her directorial debut with ‘The Lost Daughter’, told SFX magazine, "I was at a party, and I saw a man with a tattoo on his whole forearm of the Bride of Frankenstein. And I was like... huh! It just hooked me. I saw this tattoo, and I was like, 'Have I ever seen that movie? I know the image’. I was doing press in LA, and I went back to my hotel room and looked her up online. Then I watched the movie”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, Maggie felt that the fact that she hadn't seen Bride of Frankenstein gave her a fresh sense of perspective as she embarked on making the movie.

The actress said, "Throughout this process, the feeling of coming to something new and fresh has been a part of my experience. I came to her very open and curious, without much history attached, aside from the general way that she exists in our cultural mythology”.

The actress was particularly struck by the fact that Lanchester's Bride has only minimal screen time in the film.

She explained, "Well, Elsa Lanchester doesn't speak, which I found really interesting, especially when she's the titular character. You're kind of expecting that the movie is going to be about her, and it just isn't. But then when she does come on screen, she's undeniable. She has very few actual minutes of screen time as the Bride, and yet somehow she makes this lasting impact. I think it has to do with her so clearly being disobedient and not willing to fit in a box. Like, she's just saying 'No' from the moment she wakes up to this pretty f***** situation that she finds herself in”.

Maggie shared that she and lead star Jessie Buckley didn't set out to imitate Lanchester's look, but it ended up that way.

The actress said, "Jessie and I were involved together for a long time. Before the Actors' Strike (in the summer of 2023), we were working, thinking, sharing images and poems and songs. Then we have this big break where we can't work, and we're just gathering information alone”."We really felt no responsibility to imitate the original Bride of Frankenstein. "We didn't think of it that way at all. But by the time we got the look finished, she does have that little bit of a wink to the Bride's hair. We loved the idea that electricity dyed all of her hair white: the hair on her head, her lashes, her brows”, she added. Elle Fanning says she was shocked to know about ‘Sentimental Value’ Oscar nomination

(Photo: elle fanning/instagram)

Los Angeles, (IANS) Hollywood actress Elle Fanning was taken by surprise when she was nominated for the Oscars for ‘Sentimental Value’.

The 27-year-old star is up for Best Supporting Actress at next month's Academy Awards ceremony but has confessed that she went on a night out with her sister Dakota Fanning before the nominations were announced in January, reports ‘Female First UK’.

Elle told The Hollywood Reporter, "I was not watching it. Dakota and I had gone out the night before. We had quite a late night. I couldn't compute. I go out bleary-eyed, and I'm like, 'Mom! Dakota! Wake up. I think I got it. I think I got it. I looked like a crazed zombie who was walking in circles saying, 'Is this real?'".

‘Sentimental Value’ received nine Oscar nominations and Fanning says that the most exciting nod for the Norwegian picture was Olivier Bugge Coutte's recognition in the Best Film Editing category.

The Maleficent actress said, "What Olivier has done with the film, and the way that it is edited and constructed, I'm so happy that he wasn't overlooked because it's so particular and he has such a keen eye and was so essential to the film. Editors, I've come to learn now in the producing process, too, hold the key to your performance in a lot of ways”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, Elle said that close bonds have been forged between Sentimental Value's cast and crew since the movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival last year.

She said, "The fact that the family was held together and that no one was left out and that we get to continue the celebration with each other is really meaningful. I've been quite emotional about this whole experience. I'm still a little glassy-eyed and in shock over it all”.

The nod is the first Oscar nomination of Elle's career and she admits that the recognition feels particularly special because she has been acting since the age of two.

The actress said, "I've been acting since I was two. I've never gotten to have this experience before. (It's) my first time being nominated (for an Oscar). It does really mean something to me, to be recognised by my peers. I don't think you realise how special that feels until it happens”.

The Oscar nomination comes after a varied year for Elle, which also saw her star in the sci-fi action flick ‘Predator: Badlands’, and she explained how she never wants to be typecast.

She said, "You don't know what projects are going to come to you or what's being written at the time, but I have been very fortunate to be able to have these varied projects”.
“I like to be scared. I like to be terrified a bit and step into something new because I feel like that's how I have to keep pushing myself. Maleficent, that was amazing and it opened up a lot of doors for me in that sense, but then there's a box; people want to put the Disney princess on you. I'm like, 'Wait, don't do that to me’”, she added. Elle Fanning says she was shocked to know about ‘Sentimental Value’ Oscar nomination | MorungExpress | morungexpress.com

(Photo : IANS/Saiyami Kher/insta)

Speaking about the role, Saiyami told IANS: “I’ve played characters that are physically very demanding for a long time, and those roles have shaped me a lot as an actor. This film is very different. It’s softer, more emotional, and relies heavily on internal journeys rather than external action.”

“That was what attracted me to it. Sometimes portraying vulnerability is far more challenging, and I was keen to explore that space again,” said the actress about the film, which also stars actor Tahir Raj Bhasin.

Saiyami recently wrapped up shooting for “Haiwaan” starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film also stars Sharib Hashmi. Shot across picturesque locations including Kochi, Ooty, and Mumbai, the film went on floors in August this year, and marks the reunion of Akshay, and Saif after 18 years.

Saiyami was last seen in Jaat directed by Gopichand Malineni.

The film stars Sunny Deol, Randeep Hooda, Regena Cassandrra, Vineet Kumar Singh and Saiyami Kher in pivotal roles, along with Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P. Ravi Shankar, and Babloo Prithiveeraj.

Born in Maharashtra, Saiyami, whose elder sister is also a Marathi actress, made her acting debut with the Telugu film Rey in 2015 and her Hindi debut with Mirzya in 2016. Hilary Duff: Wanted to make something that I could connect with people again

(Photo : IANS/Hilary Duff/insta)

Los Angeles, (IANS) Actress-singer Hilary Duff, who is preparing to release her long-awaited new album, Luck... or Something, reveals what prompted her to return to making music after a decade-long hiatus.

Duff told Glamour magazine: "I just felt really ready to share. One, I wanted to stretch creatively, and two, I wanted to make something that I could connect with people again on the level of who I am now. I felt like people have definitely gone through some of the similar large strokes that I have in the past 10 to 15 years."

She first found fame playing the lead character in Lizzie McGuire, the hit Disney Channel comedy series. However, the actress shared that, contrary to public perception, she was a "totally normal teenager,” reports femalefirst.co.uk.

She said: "I’ll say that I didn’t ever feel ‘good’ or ‘bad,’ and it was funny that I was flagged as the good girl because of what people saw me doing on TV or that I wasn’t overtly sexual. I was a totally normal teenager doing normal teenager things."

Meanwhile, Duff shared at making a musical comeback in August 2025.

Alongside some throwback photos from her press tour for Metamorphosis, her 2003 album, She wrote on Instagram: "Clearly I had to go digging around the internet for pictures from this time as I’m not sure camera phones even existed. Sadly all my hairstyles ARE very documented."

"I do know this marker of time was a huge change in my being. I was embarking on something I had no idea would make such an impact on peoples lives, and mine. As much as I look back and think this album doesn’t hold the emotional depth I look for today, I know my 14/15 year old self meant every word. It sure as hell also landed on people at the right moment in time and set me off on a pretty epic adventure."“I remember some of my first shows being in a skate park in San Jose, and very shortly after, stepping out on stage in arenas. Yesterday marked the 22nd anniversary of Metamorphosis… Although these are distant memories for me, thank you for showing up the way that you did. Los Angeles, (IANS): Hollywood star Nicole Kidman is putting the year 2025, in which she split with her country singer Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage , and said that she is "looking forward" to 2026.

She feels optimistic heading into the new year as a single woman. Kidman took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo of herself cosying up to their daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15, as they looked out to the water in Sydney, Australia, as a firework burst in front of them.

The Babygirl star penned across the shot: "Looking forward into 2026 xx (sic)."

Kidman was "excited" to spend the holidays Down Under with her children, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

In December 2025, a source told People: "Nicole and the girls are in Australia for Christmas. This is all she wanted after a tumultuous fall. She just wanted to celebrate Christmas at home. She's very excited."

On September 29, 2025, it was confirmed that Kidman and Urban, who, according to E! News, have been living separately "since the beginning of summer", had separated after 19 years of marriage. The following day, it was reported that she had filed for a divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences".

Last November, she admitted to Wicked: For Good actress Ariana Grande, 32, in a chat for Interview magazine that she was "hanging in there" amid her split from the Somebody Like You hitmaker.

Also, that month, a source claimed that Sunday and Faith split their time amicably.

A separate source claimed the following month that the Big Little Lies actress and the You'll Think of Me singer "continue to co-parent" and their focus is on creating a "stable and supportive environment" for their daughters.

It comes after it was reported in October 2025 that their parenting plan - which Nicole signed on September 6 and Urban on August 29 last year - states that the actress is the "primary residential parent, spending 306 days with the girls" while Keith "will have them for 59 days annually".It also outlined that the former couple would "encourage each child to continue to love the other parent and be comfortable in both families". Speaking exclusively to IANS during an event organized by Zydus Pinkathon, Milind Soman spoke about opportunities for veteran actors. He explained that with more content being created for films and streaming platforms, experienced actors from the 90s are now getting a chance to showcase their talent and make a strong mark in the industry. When asked about the resurgence of 90s actors in today’s entertainment landscape, the Paurashpur actor stated that the rise of OTT platforms has helped the older generation gain more opportunities.

Milind Soman shared, “I would say that the entire industry has changed because we now have the internet, OTT platforms have emerged, and there is much more entertainment available. Today, there are more options for entertainment—films are being made, shows are being created for OTT. Because of this, actors from the older generation are also getting more opportunities. And since they have more experience, when we watch them, they perform their roles exceptionally well. So, I think it’s a good time for everyone; opportunities are available everywhere.”

Deol's recent work in streaming hits such as “Aashram” and “Class of 83” has, however, marked a remarkable comeback.

Similarly, recently Akshaye Khanna has also benefited from the changing entertainment landscape. In his recent release “Dhurandhar,” he delivered a performance that was widely appreciated.Speaking of Milind Soman, the actor has made notable appearances in several popular OTT shows. He starred as Boris in the fantasy drama “Paurashpur,” and portrayed Dr. Aamir Warsi in the acclaimed series “Four More Shots Please.” Milind Soman says OTT platforms are giving 90s actors a new lease of opportunities | MorungExpress | morungexpress.com

Shruti Haasan talks about her undying love for ‘The Night of the Hunter’

Mumbai,  (IANS) Actor-singer Shruti Haasan revisited one of her long-time cinematic obsessions as she shared a moment from the 1955 horror thriller cult classic “The Night of the Hunter” directed by Charles Laughton.

Shruti took to her Instagram stories and re-posted an eerie still from the film, calling it a timeless favourite.

“Forever obsessed with this film,” she wrote, reaffirming her admiration for the Laughton-directed thriller, known for its haunting imagery and performances.

“The Night of the Hunter” stars Robert Mitchum, Shelley Winters and Lillian Gish. The film was based on the 1953 novel of the same name by Davis Grubb.

The plot is about Preacher Harry Powell (Mitchum), a serial killer who poses as a preacher and pursues two children in an attempt to get his hands on $10,000 of stolen cash hidden by their late father.

The novel and film draw on the true story of Harry Powers, who was hanged in 1932 for the murder of two widows and three children in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

The film's lyrical and expressionistic style, borrowing techniques from silent film, sets it apart from other Hollywood films of the 1940s and 1950s, and it has influenced such later directors as Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Robert Altman, Spike Lee, Martin Scorsese, the Coen brothers and Guillermo del Toro.

The Night of the Hunter premiered on July 26, 1955, in Des Moines, Iowa, to negative reviews. Over the years, the film has been positively reevaluated and is considered one of the greatest films ever made.

Talking about Shruti, she will next be seen in “Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam”. The first installment of “Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire” released in 2023. The epic neo-noir action thriller film directed by Prashanth Neel. The film stars Prabhas in the titular role, alongside an ensemble cast of Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, Sriya Reddy, Ramachandra Raju, John Vijay, Easwari Rao, Tinnu Anand, Devaraj, Brahmaji and Mime Gopi.
