Priyanka Chopra Jonas to present awards at Golden Globes 2026, with George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Mila Kunis

Los Angeles, (IANS) Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to present an award at the upcoming edition of the Golden Globe Awards.

The awards have announced its lineup of presenters for this weekend’s awards ceremony, reports ‘Variety’.

The list also includes George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Charli xcx, Snoop Dogg and “Heated Rivalry” stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams. Also presenting are Amanda Seyfried, Ana de Armas, Ayo Edebiri, Chris Pine, Colman Domingo, Dakota Fanning, Dave Franco, Diane Lane, George Clooney, Hailee Steinfeld, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Joe Keery, Judd Apatow, Julia Roberts, Justin Hartley, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Hart, Kyra Sedgwick, Lalisa Manobal, Luke Grimes, Macaulay Culkin, Marlon Wayans, Melissa McCarthy, Mila Kunis, Miley Cyrus, Minnie Driver, Orlando Bloom, Pamela Anderson, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall, Sean Hayes, Snoop Dogg, Wanda Sykes, Will Arnett and Zoe Kravitz.

As per ‘Variety’, the presenters will take the stage throughout the show alongside returning host Nikki Glaser. Glaser said she aims to do plenty of roasting of execs like Netflix’s Ted Sarandos and billionaires in general. “They shouldn’t get their panties in a bunch over these jokes”, she said. “They’re on top. I never worry about offending them”.

Priyanka Chopra wishes ‘eternal queen’ Angelina Jolie on 50th birthday


Mumbai, (IANS) As Angelina Jolie turned 50, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas wished the Oscar winning-actress, whom the 'desi girl' lovingly called the “eternal queen.”

Priyanka took to Instagram stories, where she shared a photograph of Jolie, who turned 50 on Wednesday and wrote: “Happiest birthday to this eternal queen @angelinajolie.”

Talking about Jolie, she has appeared in over thirty film productions since 1982. The actress has starred in films such as Playing by Heart, Gone in 60 Seconds, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider – The Cradle of Life, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow, Alexander, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Beowulf, A Mighty Heart, Changeling, Kung Fu Panda, Wanted, Salt, The Tourist and Maleficent.

Known for her humanitarian work, the actress who has directed a number of films, such as In the Land of Blood and Honey, Unbroken, By the Sea, First They Killed My Father, and Without Blood, has been feted with several honours including an Academy Award, three Golden Globe Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and a Tony Award as well as nominations for two British Academy Film Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards.

Talking about Priyanka, she is all set to star in “Heads Of State,” her upcoming project directed by Ilya Naishuller. In this action-packed film, Priyanka plays Noel Bisset, an MI6 agent who joins forces with John Cena and Idris Elba’s characters to navigate a high-stakes situation after their diplomatic mission is disrupted.

The film is scheduled to debut on Prime Video on July 2.

She will also portray a 19th-century Caribbean pirate in “The Bluff”, which is a swashbuckler drama film co-written by Frank E. Flowers and Joe Ballarini, with Flowers also directing. The film stars Karl Urban, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Safia Oakley-Green, and Vedanten Naidoo.

Set in the Caribbean islands during the 19th century, the film features Priyanka as a former female pirate who must protect her family when her past catches up to her.Additionally, Priyanka is set to return for the second season of the web series “Citadel.” The spy action series was released in 2023. It stars Richard Madden and Priyanka as Citadel agents Mason Kane and Nadia Sinh, respectively. Priyanka Chopra says she’s proud of beautiful film ‘Anuja’

Mumbai, (IANS) Actress Priyanka Chopra says she is proud of the “beautiful film” “Anuja”,in which she serves as an executive producer.

Priyanka took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a snapshot of a news article from variety.com, which had the title “Netflix Acquires ‘Anuja,’ Oscar-Shortlisted Short Film Backed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mindy Kaling and Guneet Monga Kapoor”.

The Indian actress captioned it: “Proud of this beautiful film”.

As per the article on the publication, streaming giant Netflix has landed worldwide streaming rights to “Anuja,” the Oscar-shortlisted live-action short that counts Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mindy Kaling and Academy Award winner Guneet Monga Kapoor among its backers.

Directed by Adam J. Graves “Anuja” tells the tale of a 9-year-old title character, who works in a back-alley garment factory with her older sister Palak. The narrative follows the young protagonist as she faces a decision that will impact both her future and her family.

The short, developed in partnership with Mira Nair’s Salaam Baalak Trust, features Sajda Pathan, in a leading role. The production team spans Graves Films, Shine Global Inc (Oscar winners “War/Dance” and “Inocente”), Krushan Naik Films and Salaam Baalak Trust.

Guneet said of ‘Anuja’ that it is a story of unparalleled courage, a film made with a lot of heart. Director Adam J. Graves delivers a message through an empowered and entertaining lens.
