It follows the story of an angry convict plotting revenge against his former girlfriend who betrayed him.

The director collaborated with Adivi Sesh on the story and screenplay. Production is currently underway in Hyderabad, with plans for an extensive shooting schedule in Maharashtra.

As per ‘Variety’, breaking from tradition, Adivi Sesh chose to announce his leading lady on his birthday, rather than making it about himself.Mrunal Thakur said, “The story of ‘Dacoit’ is true in its essence, a great mixture of rustic storytelling that is elevated with the stylized vision of both Adivi Sesh and Shaneil Deo. The character I’m set to depict in the films will allow me to explore shades of playing an on-screen character that I haven’t explored before as an actor. This proposition mixed with the genre and script of ‘Dacoit’ is what will truly make it a treat to watch for the audiences. I can’t wait to deep dive into the world envisioned by Shaneil”. Kriti Sanon explains why ‘Jab We Met’ is an iconic film

Mumbai, (IANS) Actress Kriti Sanon, who was recently seen in the streaming movie ‘Do Patti’, has shared that she considers the Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer ‘Jab We Met’ an iconic film.

The actress feels that there’s a lot to pick from that film as life lessons. She appeared on ‘The Ranveer Show’ podcast, and said, “There's a line in the film, ‘Whenever I get confused, I do what I feel is right. Because I know that tomorrow, I don't want to tell anyone that this happened because of you’. So whatever happens, it will happen because of me. So I'll be happy”.

She further mentioned, “I believe in that a lot. I feel like I want to do what, every time I do something that someone else has asked me to do, I'm doing it because that person thinks I should do it. Tomorrow I will end up blaming that person if it doesn't work. I'd rather listen to myself”.

“If you don't listen to your gut feeling, then it’ll stop talking to you. That also happens. I've experienced it. It disappeared in the middle because there was a lot of noise. I learn from my mistakes. And that's it. I don't hold it against anyone. It's also my mistake that I listen to them”, she added.

Tapsee on Kangana’s comments: I won’t take advantage of someone’s death

From the last couple of weeks, heroine Kangana Ranaut is busy taking advantage of Sushanth Singh Rajput’s suicide as she wants the likes of Karan Johar to be implicated and interrogated regarding the former’s death. In that process, Kangana made some shocking comments on Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhaskar, calling them as B-grade actresses who has no guts to raise voice against nepotism.

“Taapsee Pannu and Swara Bhaskar are better-looking girls than Alia Bhatt and Ananya Panday, but still they are b-grade actresses because of nepotism only. They are needy actors who don’t have projects in hand and their existence is proof of nepotism” said Kangana, in the interview. Reacting strongly on the comments, Taapsee says, “I won’t take advantage of someone’s death and leverage cheap allegations as well as hatred on anyone”.

Responding on the comments made by Kangana that she is B-grade actress with no work, Taapsee clarifies, “I’m doing almost 3-4 films in the last 5 years and recently announced my upcoming 5 films. None of these films are produced by so called Karan Johar or anyone stated by Kangana. As I’m not supporting Kangana to spew venom on Karan, she thinks that I’m Karan’s puppet. But then, I’ve neither friendship nor hatred with Karan”.

Saying the above, she blasted Kangana for making use of someone’s death to get unwanted publicity. “I want to have lots of positivity in my life than negative thoughts. If Kangana has a right to have her opinion, I have a right to mine” Taapsee articulated.Source: http://teluguz.com

Exclusive : “I will wear western only if I am comfortable” – Sonakshi Sinha

The Desi girl of Bollywood Sonakshi Sinha who’s luck is on seven sky with two blockbusters and number of upcoming big banner films, says she chooses films only if she likes the role and not what her character needs to wear in the film.
Sonakshi Sinha is now coming with her fourth big banner and big star cast movie ‘Son of Sardar’, the actress opened up her feelings as to her new film and to her career so far.
Is it a different experience doing a Punjabi background film?: Yes, of-course! When you do Punjabi background film, it is very happening; I had a lot of fun on set. Every day of shooting Son of Sardar is memorable; we shot in all seasons in Punjab. I loved Punjabi culture, Punjabi people, they are very co-operative and big hearted.
How was it working with Director Ashwni Dhir?: Oh! My Director is fabulous, very nice and very talented. Because he is too a Punjabi guy, it was easy to understand the character from him. I got it easier to perform the role. Really it was wonderful to have worked with him.
Becoming the Punjabi girl, was it a quite difficult?: No, not such, I mean I just loved my character of Jiya who is more talkative and happy go lucky girl. It was a different experience to be a Punjabi Kudi but I enjoyed every bit of character, it will be one of favorite character I have played.
You ride a bike, that too Ajay Devgan trained you: Oh yes, I have taken proper one month training for bike riding, he (Ajay) taught me some part. I learnt for one month while shooting. I did some stunt for the first time, I informed my Mom later. Thankfully, my mom wasn’t there when I was doing stunts otherwise she would have never allowed me to do any.
So can we say Son of Sardar is full fresh Action film?: No, not exactly because this film has every kind of ‘Masala’, there is action, drama, emotions, comedy everything . . . it is a typical commercial Action-Romance film.
Action-Romance films has so far worked for you, so will you be in the Box now?: So far so good such films are working I won’t be having any problem doing Action-Romance. These films have reallyturned profitable for me and I feel happy that I have been a part of such films. But that doesn’t mean I will be in a box, no way . . . I m even coming with verities, there is Once Upon a Time with Emraan Hashmi and Lootera with Ranveer Singh. Lootera role is something that I haven’t done so far, it’s very emotional and touchy. I have put lot of efforts for Lootera.
So far you have played ‘Desi’ girl type roles, so now are you open for some glamour’s roles? I think my audiences have appreciated me for whatever roles I have done they like it. I have no complaints for roles I m doing. I don’t choose my roles on what the character has to wear, if I like the role and the script I go for it. If I get a character where I have to wear western clothes and if I m comfortable wearing it, I will do it.
Do you feel pressure of success?: Oh! God, if I think so much and take pressure of success and all, my brain will blast. (Laugh) I just do my work, when it get appreciated, I feel happy. I do care about the expectations that others have from me but I never take any pressure of responsibilities.
How you choose the film?: Simply if I like the role and script and yes of-course when I choose the film, it is combine decision which include advice and guidance of my parents because they are more experienced than me.
Are you disappointed with joker's failure?: Yes, of-course, I mean everyone who is connected with the film would feel bad if the film doesn’t work. But nevertheless I treat my success the way I treat my failures and now I have moved on working on my next films. Source: http://www.page3bollywood.com

Is Deepika Padukone look like A Giraffe?

Bollywood stars are frequently given pet names. Either it’s a family affair (Hrithik Roshan is Duggu while Kareena Kapoor Khan is Bebo) other times it’s the media (Katrina Kaif as Kat) or sometimes, it's colleagues who come up with a funny name. Abhishek Bachchan started with the fashion years ago when he started calling Priyanka Chopra 'Piggy Chops' on the sets of Bluffmaster. Lately, Deepika Padukone was called a 'Giraffe' and this nick name was given by none other than director-producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Bhansali generally comes across as a quite person and a total hermit, hence it's surprising that he called her such a fun and not-so-politically correct name. Remarkably Deepika is the only actress after Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who has been cast in his movie more than once. Clearly the two share a great bond. Sanjay gushed about her in a recent interview saying that he gets hypnotized when he sees her face on screen and that she has swan-like neck. When Dippy heard this compliment, she says that she has been called a gazelle, a swan and sometimes even a giraffe! After working together in Goliyon Ki RaasLeela: Ram-Leela, they have teamed up again for Bajirao Mastani, which will release this year. Source: garamgossips.blogspot.com
