Mumbai, August 11 (IANS) The premier episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati witnessed Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta, along with Aamir Khan, the first guests of the season.

During a fun exchange on the hot seat with host Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta shared how the screen icon is an absolute favourite in her household.

The conversation started when the actress asked the host, “Sabse jyada film industry mein joh mere gharmein popular hain, aap guess kijiye woh kaun hain” (Guess who is the most popular person from the film industry in my house?) to which Big B joking said, “Koi bhi nahi.” (Nobody)

The actress further went on to reveal that her children know the megastar best through his famous song "Mere Paas Aao Mere Dosto" (from the 1979 film Mr. Natwarlal), “Aap, not for your movies, sorry mere bacche aapka woh ganna sunte hain, they tell me mom sher wala gaana.. mere paas aao mere… woh joh aap kartein hain na jingle tunes, so my kids always do that” (You! Angelina Jolie reflects on Cambodia conflict, says son Maddox's birthplace remains close to her heart

Mumbai, (IANS) Global star and humanitarian Angelina Jolie has marked the first anniversary of the Cambodia border conflict, saying the country, where her son Maddox was born, continues to hold a special place in her heart.

The Oscar-winning star penned a note on Instagram, where she spoke about how nearly 30,000 people remain internally displaced.

“One year ago, conflict broke out along Cambodia’s border, upending the safety and stability of so many. Now, nearly 30,000 people remain internally displaced and unable to return home,” she wrote.

Angelina shared that the place is her son Maddox’s birth country

“Cambodia has always been a special country for me and my family. This is my son’s country of birth, our home is here, and for over 20 years, we’ve worked with a fully locally-led team on conservation and community development. The Maddox Foundation is headquartered on the same border where the recent conflict took place,” she added.

“I have had the honor of becoming close friends with my neighbors and the Foundation team as we demined and developed the area together. When the fighting broke out last year, we had to evacuate our staff and their families — a painful reminder of just how quickly conflict can return.”

Jotting down points about why she loves Cambodia, Angelina wrote: “I love this country and its resilient, warm people. While we’re grateful to have resumed our work protecting the land and supporting the community’s health and livelihoods, my heart is with everyone still waiting to come home.”

Angelina is the recipient of numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, a Tony Award and three Golden Globe Awards. Taylor Swift to have 'multiple outfit changes' for wedding

Los Angeles, (IANS) Pop icon Taylor Swift is set to have a grand wedding. The singer-songwriter will have several custom dresses in the running for her upcoming wedding to Travis Kelce.

The 36-year-old singer and NFL star, 36, is expected to be channelling her inner tour persona with numerous outfit changes during her two-day wedding celebration at New York’s Madison Square Garden, which is expected to take place next weekend, reports ‘Female First UK’.

A source told Page Six that the Love Story hitmaker is expected to have "multiple outfit changes" during her nuptials. Monse designers Laura Kim and Fernando Garcia, the former co-creative directors of Oscar de la Renta, are said to be among the top contenders to design one of Swift's gowns.

As per ‘Female First UK’, in April, it was reported that Taylor's wedding dress will be inspired by the gown worn by Dame Elizabeth Taylor when she married her first husband, Conrad Hilton, in 1950 after researching the movie icon for her song of the same name.

A source told the Daily Mail newspaper, "Taylor spent so much time looking at old photos of Elizabeth Taylor when she was making her music video for that song that she became enamoured with the movie queen's style. Madhuri Dixit remembers her ‘Aai’ on her birthday: Not a day goes by without thinking of you

Mumbai,  (IANS) Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit Nene has remembered her mother Snehlata Dixit on her third birth anniversary and said that not a day goes by without thinking of her and feeling her presence in the little moments of life.

Madhuri took to her stories section, where she shared a collage featuring pictures of her along with her mother.

She added the message: “Happy Birthday, Aai. Not a day goes by without thinking of you and feeling your presence in the little moments of life.”

“Your love, strength and warmth continue to guide us everyday. Missing you always and celebrating you with love today.”

Madhuri’s mother, Snehlata Dixit, passed away at their Mumbai residence on March 12, 2023, at the age of 91.

Adele planning huge comeback to music, swings between UK, US

Los Angeles, (IANS) Singer-songwriter Adele has been on a hiatus for close to 2 years but now, she is reportedly preparing to make a huge comeback.

The 38-year-old singer stepped out of the spotlight in November 2024 as she wrapped up her Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, reports ‘Female First UK’.

However, as per a report, Adele has left her home in Los Angeles and flown to London where she has been spotted at Church Studios in Crouch End, North London, the venue owned by producer Paul Epworth where she recorded parts of her 2015 album 25.

A source told The Sun newspaper the singer has been busy writing and recording new music there, as they said, "Adele is spending at least a fortnight in London writing and recording music”.

The source added, “She was in and out of sessions last week and will be back in there this week, but she is keeping a low profile while she is here. She feels safe at Church Studios and it’s where Paul is based, so it made sense to travel over for the ­sessions, rather than work somewhere else in Los Angeles”.

As per ‘Female First UK’, Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon was also spotted at the studios last week but it's not known if he's been working with Adele. Gracie Abrams was also spotted shooting a music video outside the building last week. Artistes including Blur, Oasis, Coldplay and Sir Paul McCartney have all previously worked at the studio, which was previously owned by Eurhythmics star Dave Stewart.

Adele chose the location because she wants her new music to honour her hometown of London. An insider said, "Adele has been living in Los Angeles for a decade now and although she loves it, her roots in London are very important to her”.

Her last album was well received but it was very Hollywood. Tamannaah Bhatia was unsatisfied with the 'Kaavaalaa' song: Could have done better

Mumbai, (IANS) Actress Tamannaah Bhatia revealed that she was unsatisfied with her performance in the song 'Kaavaalaa' from Rajinikanth's 'Jailer'.

As director and choreographer, Farah Khan visited Tamannaah at her beautiful Mumbai home for her YouTube vlogs, the two ladies discussed the various songs the 'Baahubali' actress has been a part of.

Tamannaah told Farah that she felt she could have done a better job in the 'Kaavaalaa' track.

"I was a little unsatisfied when I shot for 'Kaavaalaa' because I felt like I could have done better," she was heard saying.

Pitching it, Farah remarked, "But you are that type who always feels they could have done better."

"But I rehearsed for 'Aaj Ki Raat' for 15 days and I wanted to spend that time. I am not a trained dancer," Tamannaah went on to add.

Composed by Anirudh Ravichander, the lyrics of 'Kaavaalaa' have been penned by Arunraja Kamaraj. The peppy dance number has been performed by Shilpa Rao.

On the work front, Tamannaah has been roped in for "Vvan – Force of the Forrest" in which she will be seen sharing screen space with Sidharth Malhotra for the first time. Touted to explore the cultural folklore genre, the story for the drama has been provided by Arunabh Kumar.

Made under the direction of Deepak Mishra and Arunabh Kumar, the film has been backed by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, Arunabh Kumar, and Niraj Kothari, while Manu Anand has looked after the camera work.

Mumbai, (IANS) Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie, ‘Cocktail 2’ followed a strict fitness plan to achieve that stunning frame.

On Thursday, the actress took to the Stories section of her Instagram, and re-shared a Reel from her fitness coach and Indian footballer, Karan Sawhney.

In the video, Kriti can be seen setting her foot on a steep incline walk. She said in the video, “Karan, I just want you to see this. Inclined walk”.

The video then cuts to Karan explaining her fitness plan, and how the actress went about with the plan.

He said, “The brief for ‘Cocktail 2’ was different than anything done before for Kriti. For the first time, she was doing a bikini scene. We were training six times a week. We had to have our abs showing. She had to be super toned, super fit, super lean throughout the movie”.

He further mentioned, “And the kind of training we did for it for this time, with her nutrition, with her sleep, with her food, we included a lot of inclined walks. She was eating a high protein diet. We were in a sort of a deficit, but along with a lot of strength training and basically staying active throughout the day. I mean, it was a challenge, but as you can see, she pulled it off”.

Mumbai, (IANS) New mother and television actress Divyanka Tripathi shared two adorable pictures cradling her twins as she expressed gratitude.

Divyanka, who has been married to actor Vivek Dahiya since 2016, shared two pictures on Instagram. In the two images, the actress is sen cradling her newborns and covered their faces with a sunflower emoji.

For the caption, Divyanka wrote: “Thanks for choosing me.”

It was in May when Divyanka and Vivek announced on social media that they have welcomed two baby boys.

Madonna hopes fans put their phones down and connect with concerts

Los Angeles, (IANS) Singer-songwriter Madonna recently took over New York City to celebrate Confessions II, the sequel of her album ‘Confessions on a Dance Floor’, which was released 2 decades ago.

During the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of the visualizer for her Confessions II album, debuting July 3, the 7-time Grammy winner explained that the short is “really about connection”, which she hopes to convey in her music, reports ‘Deadline’.

Mumbai, (IANS) Bollywood actress Kiara Advani wished the director of her upcoming period gangster drama. "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups" on social media.

The 'Shershaah' actress took to the Stories section of her official Instagram handle and called the filmmaker a "genius mind constantly powered by passion and fearless vision".

Commemorating the occasion, the makers also released a Behind The Scenes (BTS) video from the shoot of the highly anticipated drama on Monday.

In December last year, the makers unveiled Kiara's sizzling first look as Nadia from "Toxic".

Taylor Swift on original song for ‘Toy Story 5’: Wrote it as soon as I got home from the screening

Mumbai, (IANS) Grammy winner Taylor Swift has announced her original song for Toy Story 5 and revealed that she wrote the number titled ‘I Knew It, I knew It” as soon as I got home from the screening.
