Laxmi aayi hai’: B-Town congratulates Ranveer, Deepika on arrival of their 'queen'

Mumbai, September 8 (IANS) After Bollywood’s star couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone officially announced that they have welcomed a baby girl, a string of personalities including Arjun Kapoor, Sharvari and Ananya Panday among many others congratulated the new parents and said that the "queen is here."

Ranveer and Deepika in a shared post on Sunday made the announcement on Instagram.

The post read: “Welcome baby girl 8.9.2024… Deepika and Ranveer.”

Taking to the comment section, their friends and colleagues from the industry congratulated the two, who are fondly called as DeepVeer by their fans.

Actor Arjun Kapoor, who is a close friend of Ranveer and Deepika, wrote: “Laxmi aayi hai! The queen is here.”

Deepika’s “Gehraiyaan” co-star wrote: “Baby girl! Congratulations.”

Saif Ali Khan’s son and Sara Ali Khan’s brother Ibrahim penned: “Congratulations.”

Actress Sharvari simply congratulated the stars.

Actor and comedian Sunil Grover said “Badhai ho!! Best.”

Social media sensation and the bestie of B-Townies Orry said: “Biggest biggest.”

It was on September 7, when Deepika was photographed going to the H. N. Reliance Hospital in the Girgaon area of Mumbai. Ahead of her going to the hospital, the couple and their families had visited the Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai on September 6.

In February, Deepika and Ranveer had announced that they were all set to be welcoming their first bundle of joy. The actress was in her second trimester when they announced to the world about stepping into parenthood.

They shared a post on Instagram, which read: "September 2024”. with cute motifs of baby clothes, baby shoes and balloons.”

Ranveer and Deepika got married in November 2018 at a private and intimate ceremony at Lake Como and shared some pictures with fans on Instagram, and five years later on “Koffee With Karan”, their wedding video was shown to the world. They married in traditional Konkani Hindu and Sikh Anand Karaj.

The star couple first met on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela” in 2012, where they fell in love. The film was a take on English playwright William Shakespeare’s tragic epic “Romeo and Juliet”. The two were then seen in films such as “Bajirao Mastani” and “Padmaavat”.

On the professional front, the two will be seen in the upcoming Rohit Shetty directorial “Singham Again”. In the pictures, she can be seen wearing different outfits like a sheer dress with her bump showing, a loose cardigan, blazer, and a sweater. Mumbai, February 20 (IANS) Bollywood couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are said to be expecting their first child.

The actress is reportedly in her second trimester. A couple of days back, there was a wave of speculation about her pregnancy as she was seen hiding her midriff at the recently concluded 77th edition of the BAFTA Awards.

This is not the first time, however, that Deepika has been the subject of pregnancy rumours.

Not long ago, the actress had shared pictures from promotions of her latest release, 'Fighter', and fans went into a frenzy over whether or not she had a baby bump. Many took to the comments section to ask is she was pregnant.

Deepika and Ranveer, who first worked together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2013 film 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela' and reportedly fell in love on the sets of the film, tied the knot on November 14, 2018, at Lake Como, Italy.

Deepika's interview on mental

Deepika Padukone recently took up the cause of spreading mental awareness.

Chennai Express smashes more records, makes fastest 100 crore

Rohit Shetty's latest directotial venture Chennai Express is all out to smash records. The Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone-starrer has already made an average collection of Rs. 100 crore, the fastest entry to the club. Earlier, Salman Khan-starrer Ek Tha Tiger collections crossed Rs. 100  crore in six
days. Chennai Express averaged Rs. 28.05 crore on Saturday and Rs. 32.50 crore on Sunday at the ticket windows. The film earned Rs. 6.75 crore from paid previews on Thursday and collected around Rs. 33.12 crore on the opening day, making a total of Rs. 100.42 crore. The overseas earnings of the film are
estimated at a total of  Rs. 45 crore over the weekend. "We have received an overwhelming response from all quarters and the film is being loved by everyone. Though CE is playing in highest number of screens for any film, we still ran out of capacity in most locations due to this huge demand at the box office", 
says Gaurav Verma, Director - India theatrical distribution, Studios, Disney UTV. Prakhar Joshi, Head - Programming PVR Cinemas also can't stop beaming about the success. "Now CE holds the record of biggest opening day at PVR- if you add previews, this number becomes even bigger. We were always

Deepika plays Veronica with mouthing some bold dialogues in Cocktail

GaramGossips: Deepika Padukone returns with "Cocktail" and clarifies that both her character in the upcoming movie and the theme of the movie are different from what people saw in her 2009 hit "love Aaj Kal". The doubts about the resemblance between the two movies and her character arose after the first promos of "Cocktail" came out! She has teamed up with Saif Ali Khan in "Cocktail", which is written by Imtiaz Ali and directed by Homi Adajania. Model Diana Penty also features in it. "The minute people see Saif and me together, they will think about 'love Aaj Kal'. Yes, of course, Imtiaz has written the script, but it is directed by Homi Adajania who had previously made 'Being Cyrus'," Deepika said journalists here Wednesday. "Yes, it is a love story, but it is also about friendship, betrayal, fun and trust. So I think in terms of the film, it is very, very different," she insisted. The promos show Deepika, who plays Veronica in the movie, mouthing some bold dialogues. She disclosed, "I am not the film's writer. The dialogues were written based on the character that I am playing. Veronica is a very confident girl. She is very self-assured."  Why did she she choose to play Veronica? " 'love Aaj Kal' was a very different role for me. In this film, I was offered both the roles. My producer Dino (Dinesh Vijan) was kind enough to offer me both the roles. He said that you choose which one you want. I took it as a challenge and Imtiaz (Ali) also suggested to me that since Meera from 'love Aaj Kal' is so similar to the other character in the film, it would be interesting for me to play Veronica," told the 26-year-old. "I am so glad I went with that because when the trailer released two days ago, the response has been fantastic. Ranbir Kapoor is going to be a Vampire
