Sitaare Zameen Par Review & Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection Day 1

By Aamna Aamna, The much-awaited comeback of Aamir Khan to the big screen with the latest film Sitaare Zameen Par has provided mixed reports not only in terms of Sitaare Zameen Par review scores but also in the Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection reports. Although the Sitaare Zameen Par review ratings have accorded the film a favorable rating of 3.5 stars by critics, the first day Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection is a humble beginning to the comeback film by the superstar.

Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection

The current Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection India net total is near to Rs 0.65 crore on Day 1, and the opening has been a modest affair as far as director R.S. Prasanna is concerned in his emotional entertainer. Such a low first-day box office figure of Sitaare Zameen Par compared to the industry expectation, that is, the industry is highly disappointed with such a negative number of opening day and in comparison to the previous release of Aamir Khan, Laal Singh Chaddha, which is having an opening day box office collection of 11.70 crores.

Trade analysts who had tracked the Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection trend said advance bookings fetched Rs 6.88 crore, and more than 1.15 lakh tickets were sold at 9,542 shows all over the country. The Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection report shows that the Hindi version claimed the most money, collecting Rs 3.18 crore out of 9,037 shows, whereas the regional versions earned a minimal part of the total Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection.

Sitaare Zameen Par Review Scores vs Commercial Performance

Although critics awarded Sitaare Zameen Par with fair rating, which said that the film was moving and depicted the specially-abled characters, the box office collection record of Sitaare Zameen Par shows that the audience might not have been so impressed. All the big Sitaare Zameen Par reviews talked about the good second half of the film and how Aamir Khan has regained his entry into serious cinema, but that good Sitaare Zameen Par review mood is not reflecting yet in the way Sitaare Zameen Par’s box office collection is progressing.

The mismatch between the positive reviews of Sitaare Zameen Par and its mediocre box office performance indicates that content-oriented movies do not need to record-breaking first-day collections to succeed, but rather rely on word-of-mouth promotions. According to the industry experts, due to the positive Sitaare Zameen Par review trend, the Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection would travel upwards during the weekend.

Regional Performance in Sitaare Zameen Par Box Office Collection

The multi-release strategy of the language is questionable because early Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection reports are mixed. The above is the box office collection of Sitaare Zameen Par in just one of the versions of Sitaare Zameen Par, that is the Hindi version which also witnessed impressive ticket sales than the other versions of Sitaare Zameen Parat the Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection, the Tamil version accounted for Rs 2.73 lakh out of 163 shows, the Telugu version brought in Rs 9.84 lakh from 342 shows to the overall Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection.

This regional Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection distribution suggests that Khan’s brand value is the strongest in Hindi-speaking markets, although the reception in regional markets to the Sitaare Zameen Par review may have a bearing on the Sitaare Zameen Par box office collection in each city, as weekend collection patterns become clearer.

From Deewana to the success of Pathaan: the global impact of Bollywood’s enduring king, Shah Rukh Khan

In the ever-evolving landscape of Indian cinema, where movie stars rise and fall, one name has remained etched in the hearts of millions for more than three decades – Shah Rukh Khan, also known as “SRK”.

Fondly known as the King of Bollywood, Khan’s cinematic influence on Indian cinema is a story that transcends borders and generations.

As people celebrate his remarkable return to the silver screen in 2023 after a four-year hiatus, marked by the resounding global success of Pathaan, it’s the perfect time to embark on a journey through his illustrious career.

Here, I explore the timeless Indian classics that catapulted him to stardom and look at the excitement surrounding his latest release, Jawan (in cinemas now), and the highly awaited Dunki.

So, for those who may not be familiar, what is Bollywood?

Bollywood, India’s cinematic powerhouse based in Mumbai, is where the majority of Hindi-language films are made. It’s like India’s own Hollywood.

But Indian cinema isn’t just about Bollywood. Regional film production centres across India like Kollywood (the Tamil film industry) and Tollywood (Telugu film industry) add their unique colours. India is now the global leader in film outputs, with an astonishing 1,500 to 2,000 films released each year in more than 20 different languages.

And the 57-year-old King Khan has been a pillar of Bollywood ever since he broke through with the 1992 film Deewana.

SRK’s cinematic influence on Indian cinema

To truly grasp SRK’s impact on Indian cinema, let’s rewind to the 1990s – a golden era of Bollywood brimming with iconic Indian films and unforgettable performances.

During this time, a young man without any industry connections in a world built on family ties was about to shape the future of Indian cinema.

In 1995, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge hit the screens. Directed by the legendary Aditya Chopra, this film told a captivating love story transcending all boundaries.

SRK’s portrayal of Raj wasn’t just a character, it was emotion.

With its enchanting music and a storyline that captured the essence of young love and tradition, the film became a sensation within and beyond India, uninterruptedly running for more than two decades (it’s still running today!) in Mumbai’s Maratha Mandir theatre.

Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’s staggering success made SRK a star, or perhaps it was the other way around: SRK made DDLJ.

His later films like Dil Se (1998), Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998) and others solidified his status as the king of romance. These timeless classics not only tugged at heartstrings, but also paved the path for his incredible cinematic journey.

In the 2000s, he continued to shine with family and romantic hits like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001) and Kal Ho Na Ho (2003). He experimented with versatile roles in films like Swades (2004) and Chak De India (2007), while venturing into film production with his own Red Chillies Entertainment Limited.

As the years rolled on, SRK represented Indian cinema globally with films such as Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and Chennai Express (2013). However, he faced a challenging period in the late 2010s when his films Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017) and Zero (2018) failed miserably at the box office, leading many to wonder if his time had passed.

The return of the king

Jump to 2023. After a four-year hiatus from the big screen, the king returned with three promised films in one year, and audiences worldwide eagerly awaited to see if his magic still held sway.

Pathaan, with its phenomenal dance, didn’t just meet expectations – it smashed them. It broke box office records and earned global acclaim, showcasing SRK’s unparalleled star power.

This action thriller has become India’s highest-grossing Hindi film ever, and the first Bollywood film to earn more than US$100 million (A$155 million) without a release in China.

Pathaan’s success was a testament to the love fans hold for SRK, reaffirming his charisma as irresistible as ever.

Anticipation for Jawan and Dunki

Jawan, which premiered in Australia on Sept. 7, became the first Indian film ever to claim the top spot in both the Australian and neighbouring New Zealand box offices on its first day. Trailers for the film amassed millions of views, and fans dissected every snippet, making the buzz around it electrifying.

And then there is Dunki, directed by the acclaimed Indian director Rajkumar Hirani (whose 2009 film 3 Idiots happens to be my personal favourite). The mere announcement of this collaboration sent ripples through the industry.

Love beyond borders

Beyond the box office figures and his countless film awards, SRK’s films carry a profound cultural significance. They often delve into deeper social and emotional themes, resonating not just with Indian audiences, but worldwide.

Dear Zindagi (2016) explores mental health and personal growth, breaking stereotypes about therapy and self-discovery.

My Name Is Khan (2010) addresses the complexities of racial profiling and discrimination in the post-9/11 world. Its iconic line “My Name is Khan, but I am not a terrorist” transcended national borders and touched hearts across the globe.

In Swades (2004), SRK’s heartfelt portrayal of a NASA scientist’s return to his homeland mirrors the Indian diaspora’s yearning for roots and ignited a dialogue on the duty of reconnecting with one’s homeland.

Calling himself a dream seller who peddles love to millions of people in his 2017 TED talk, Khan’s influence is proof to the enduring power of storytelling, and the ability of cinema to connect people across cultures.

He is one of Time’s 100 most influential people of 2023. His fans even set a Guinness World Record for the most people performing his iconic pose.

Many have labelled SRK’s 2023 as a comeback, but the superstar himself seems not to believe in this notion. Quoting a line from the Hollywood film Gattaca (1997), SRK tweeted, “I never saved anything for the swim back”.

As fans eagerly flock to see Jawan and await Dunki, it’s a reminder he continues to “move forward” and redefine what it means to be a superstar, not just in Bollywood, but on the globe stage. He shows us the magic of cinema knows no boundaries, and neither does the allure of Bollywood’s king. The Conversation

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif are back again, looking electrifying together and dancing their hearts out in Leke Prabhu ka naam from the forthcoming Diwali release, Tiger 3.

Salman and Katrina have reprised their iconic characters, super-agents, Tiger and Zoya, from the YRF Spy Universe and the two superstars last danced together in Swag se swagat from Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017. This time, they show off more of their incredible chemistry and look drop-dead gorgeous in the dance track composed by Pritam, written by Amitabh Bhattacharya and sung by Arijit Singh and Nikhita Gandhi. The Tamil and Telugu versions have been rendered by Benny Dayal and Anusha Mani.

Leke Prabhu ka naam has been shot on an extremely grand-scale in the exotic locations in Cappadocia, Turkey. Choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant, who had directed Swag se swagat, is back to make the couple dance again on this one.

Director Maneesh Sharma says, “Katrina’s ethereal beauty and the chemistry between the two make it the perfect formula to have everyone dancing! We had a lot of fun filming in Cappadocia and this will be another huge dance chartbuster to add to the already enviable list of successes that Salman and Katrina have had together.”

Salman and Katrina are already thrilled with the unanimously positive response to the trailer and the love people are showering on them. One of our most popular on-screen couples, their most popular outing is the Tiger franchise.

Salman says, “I think what we are witnessing today as a response to the Tiger 3 trailer is simply outstanding. I have been fortunate to have films that have given me a lot of love. But to get this volume of appreciation and to see this amount of frenzy after a trailer launch is truly special and a rare feeling.”

He added, “I’m happy that our trailer has hit all the right notes. I’m also really touched by how people have reacted to seeing Katrina and me back as Zoya and Tiger. I’m aware that these two super-agents hold a special place in the hearts of the audience and I’m glad that we have lived up to their expectations. I think people will be very happy seeing both of us in action, taking on our enemies shoulder to shoulder.”

Katrina stated, “It is incredible to see the reaction that the trailer of Tiger 3 has got! It is simply phenomenal to have all this love come our way because the entire team has given their all to make our film an action spectacle. This is the third film of the franchise and I’m well aware of the massive expectations that people have from us. I’m happy that the trailer is getting unanimous love.”

She added, “Tiger and Zoya are two pieces of the same puzzle. They are charismatic and daredevil when they work together as a unit and I’m thrilled to see how people are excited to see these two spies back in action, saving the day. If people have loved the trailer so much, I can confidently say that they will be blown away with what the film has to offer!”Emraan Hashmi plays the antagonist in the film.Salman-Katrina rock in Tiger 3 song Leke Prabhu ka naam

'Jai Ho' Movie Review Starring Salman Khan and Daisy Shah

By : Bollywood-News-Stories, Rating - **** Indian film industry since years has been working over such social issues – corruption and biased system of our nation. In these movies there is always a man with certain force, who works against these social issues and makes a big difference. These issues ends finally. Then what’s new with Sohail Khan and Salman Khan’s movie “Jai Ho”? The concept of the movie is provocative and it has none other than Salman Khan to ensure that you make your way to the theatres. Jai Ho is a movie that deserves your attention to the fullest, and equally demands your applause. It has the necessary strong fondness, which is thought provoking, and doesn’t mocks over the sentiments. Jai Ho is a story of an Ex-army officer Jai Agnihotri (Salman Khan), a strictly honourable man who is fighting alone against corruption and injustice prevailing in the society. This man has a simple yet  meaningful aim to help others and encourage them to help the others, forming an ever growing circle of people helping each other. On his verge he faces the anger of the local powerful politician (Danny Denzongpa) who is miffed by his noble move. But, Jai is ready to face the battle against the local politician, however bloody it may get. Jai  firmly believes that you do not have to wear a uniform to serve your country.  The local politician tries to target Jai’s mother (Nadira Babbar) and sister Geeta (Tabu). This goes personal; Jai loses his cool and rises above to save his family. It is an unequal war - one side stand the politician with his numerous henchmen and on another side is Jai - alone. But unknown to him, a silent revolution started taking shape. The voiceless public, he has helped in the past, is gathering force and finally has a voice which cannot be silenced. The idea of ‘Jai Ho’ is noble and you are moved with the message circulated throughout the movie. Since we have Salman Kahn in the lead role, then expecting some bone crunching, face smashing action sequences is fair. Sohail has very smartly brought in the combative progression and Salman enjoys every bit of it. Alongside goes the blooming romancebetween Salman Khan and Daisy Shah. Debutant Daisy Shah is impressive in her role. Other actors Suniel Shetty, Ashmit Patel, Yash Tonk, Bruna Abdullah and Sana Khan are equally good in their roles. After a long time, Danny is successful in recreating terror. But Salman Khan takes the lead among all other actors in the movie. His generosity and simplicity wins you over so as his aggression. Music by Sajid-Wajid is good and background score by Sandeep Shirodkar is brilliant. Jai Ho is a sure shot entertainer, with a genuine strong message. A must watch. Source: http://bollywoodnewsstories.blogspot.in/

You don’t go to Switzerland without Yash Chopra: SRK

SLAMtheTour_20Sep2014_(213)
Actor Shah Rukh Khan admits to an “emotional and mental” void in his life after father figure, late filmmaker Yash Chopra, passed away last week. So much so that the 46-year-old has cancelled the shoot of the last song of Chopra’s film, Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), in his favourite outdoor location, Switzerland. “We don’t feel emotionally and mentally ready to go to Switzerland and shoot without Yash ji. You don’t go to Switzerland without Yash Chopra,” says the actor, who will now be a part of a grand farewell in ode to his guru with a lavish premiere of the film on November 12. What happens now to the swan song in Switzerland that was due to be filmed for JTHJ? We could not shoot for it as Yash ji was unwell. After he passed away, Karan (Johar) said, ‘Should I shoot it?’ But Adi (Aditya Chopra) said, ‘No we are not going to shoot it.’ If the song is not being shot by Mr Yash Chopra in Switzerland, then even I don’t want to shoot it. None of us wants to. The song will now be played in the background. We’ll use some scenes from what Yash ji’s already shot. What is the thought behind doing a gala premiere of the film? Shah Rukh kisses father-figure Yash Chopra on his last birthdayYash Chopra always released his films on Diwali (JTHJ releases on November 13), because his ideology was that it’s a festival of life and happiness. Hope it’s not seen in a wrong sense, but the fact that he’d been making films for the last 50 years, and just 10 days after he made his last film, he passes away — I think in a strange sense is the happiest a filmmaker can be. We as people who’ve experienced him should celebrate what a wonderful and happy life he had. We shall carry forward the reason he made films for, and that was to celebrate life. We are going to have this huge premiere, Insha Allah, on the 12th (of
November). To me it has become a little more than a film. That sensuous song Saans: MORE ON JAB TAK HAI JAAN: JTHJ: SRK-Katrina get groovy for Yash Chopra's swan song The foot tapping number is in contrast with the gloom that has set in after movie mogul Yash Chopra's demise. Jab Tak Hai Jaan's latest song Ishq Shava released on the same day the King of Romance passed away. And it trended heavily on Twitter all night. Unlike the romantic number Saans, which showed a scintillating chemistry between SRK and Katrina, Ishq Shava seems to be a peppy number. WATCH SONGJTHJ: Yash Chopra to direct last-ever scene: Yash Chopra prepares to say goodbye to direction with Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ), his assistant directors (who have worked with him for years) are busy designing a spectacular souvenir for the king of romance. They want this to be their special gift to their mentor. LAST-EVERJab Tak Hai Jaan: Yash Chopra to miss his last take? For the shoot of the last remaining song in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, director Yash Chopra had a grand vision: a sari-clad Katrina Kaif romancing Shah Rukh Khan in the lush meadows of the Swiss Alps. But unfortunately, his illness, caused by a bout of dengue, stymied the plan for the song, which would have reflected his trademark directorial style. UNFINISHED BUSINESSIs SRK's Challa from Jab Tak Hai Jaan inspired? AR Rahman's Challa song might be creating waves on the internet, but it has emerged that the song is not exactly err.. original. It is in fact inspired by Eagle-Eye Cherry's number Save Tonight from his album Desireless. The opening notes of Challa, where SRK is strumming the guitar, is uncanningly similar to Save Tonight's music. Challa is sung by Rabbi Sheirgill. Check Out The Videosis the best way of giving a tribute or the best way to mourn for Yash Chopra’s passing away and to celebrate the fact that he was a part of our lives. ‘I was never a part of this game’ A newspaper in Pakistan has reported that Jab Tak Hai Jaan (JTHJ) will be banned there and the promos have been pulled off air. Are you aware? I never read the posts that come in newspapers anymore. I don’t know about this. You’ll have to ask the distributors. Your Diwali release clashes with Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardar. Does that worry you? I find this talk of competition within films and actors to be redundant. It’s actually the sensibility of outsiders who don’t know this business or who don’t feel the film. I feel the film. My film is not mathematics. I don’t believe in numbers. I know people think I’m a rich capitalist, a well-to do star. Ya, I’m a rockstar. But all that follows the belief that I’ll only do a film which my heart tells me to. I don’t need to know which other film is coming when my film is coming. With all humility and honesty, when my film comes, then only my film comes. I’m not being derogatory to anyone. But my film comes from the heart. If it’s just about the business, then I hope everyone else’s film does more business than mine. Trade experts are predicting collections of over Rs. 200 crore for JTHJ. What are your expectations? I’ll tell you two things. I am not a trade pundit. I am not an astrologer. I am an actor and that’s what makes me unpredictable. I hate numbers. It is so being tunnel visioned to be confined by numbers. I don’t even understand why people celebrate birthdays. You’re just getting older. It’s really stupid to be confined by numbers. Have you passed on the same outlook towards business of cinema to your kids? I’ll never be able to teach my son or daughter to be successful in the business of cinema. But they will know how to tell a story from the heart. My son has gone to study abroad. He looks a little educated now. I’ve been an outsider here. I was never a part of this game. Have you began working on the sequel to RA.One? Films like that take a little while. I am making three films already (Chennai Express, Happy New Year and A for Apple, B for Billi, C for Cutta). I need to take out some time, which I don’t see happening. It’s huge pre-production work to look into the VFX. It takes about a year. So not right now. Is it true that you have postoponed Chennai Express to avoid a clash with Salman Khan’s Brindavanam during Eid next year? Again, utter crap and nonsense of newspapers, with all gentleness and kindness. You are a very loyal ambassador when it comes to brands you endorse such as Tag Heuer that have become a part of your life through your trademark red glasses and watch. What keeps it going? I have been fortunate to have had employers who have had an association with me with the mindset of continuing it for a lifetime. Tag Heuer and Hyundai are among those. It has been close to 10 years with Tag now and they have never forced me to promote it in my films. It’s by default that I keep showing off pieces like this Tag Heuer Carrera India Racing Edition Chronograph that I am in Delhi to launch. When I need money, I work, otherwise I attend Tag functions (laughs).About the song: The song, we hear, was supposed to be as intensely romantic as Mere Dil Mein Aaj Kya Hai from Yash Chopra's Daag, the first film that Sr Chopra directed for his home banner Yash Raj Films in 1973. The song was to be shot in the snowfall capturing the same desperate romance between Shah Rukh and Katrina Kaif that Rajesh Khanna and Sharmila Tagore projected in Daag. For the shoot of the last remaining song in Jab Tak Hai Jaan, director Yash Chopra had a grand vision: a sari-clad Katrina Kaif romancing Shah Rukh Khan in the lush meadows of the Swiss Alps. But unfortunately, his illness and then his sudden death stymied the plan for the song, which would have reflected his trademark directorial style. It is now also believed that the film's stars Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma will work together to ensure that the film proves to be a fitting tribute to the Bollywood stalwart. Watch theSPOTTED: SRK-Anushka shoot in Ladakh Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma are currently shooting for the last stretch of Yash Chopra's untitled romantic film in Ladakh. Shahrukh Khan learns life’s lesson in Kashmir

Shahrukh Khan learns life’s lesson in Kashmir!
Shooting Yash Chopra’s film in Pahalgam, Kashmir, taught Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan some important lessons of life, lessons about beauty and struggle for survival.
Superstar Shahrukh Khan, who was shooting for Yash Chopra's untitled directorial project in Kashmir, has wrapped up his schedule here and says he is taking back home some important things that he learnt during his short sojourn in the valley. SRK wrote on Twitter as he bid adieu to Pahalgam: "Leaving Pahalgam. Learnt life's lesson in my forefathers land. Only beauty is not enuff, u gotta be tough too to survive. I will be, Insha Allah." The 46-year-old, who has around 3 million followers on Twitter, has now moved to Gulmarg from Pahalgam. "SRK flew to Gulmarg in a helicopter from Pahalgam today (Monday) to complete the rest of his shooting schedule. "He will be holding a half-hour interaction with the press in Srinagar on Sep 6 before taking a flight out of the Valley," Nazir Bakshi, owner of Shiraz Travels that organised the shooting schedule of Yash Chopra's film in the Valley, told IANS. Shahrukh Khan had a busy week-long shooting schedule in Pahalgam where he shot at picturesque locations like Aru, Betaab Valley and Baisaran. The movie will see SRK as an army man and has actress Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma as his leading ladies. Yash Chopra's son Aditya is directing the film which is scheduled for Diwali release and will hit theatres Nov 13. Yash Chopra, producer of some of the most admired Bollywood love triangles like "Daag", "Silsila" and "Kabhi Kabhie", which were shot in the valley, returned to his favourite locations after a gap of 37 years. For SRK, who is doing his maiden film shoot in Kashmir, coming to the Valley of meadows and mountains has been a rewarding experience. His grandmother belonged to Kashmir and SRK recently tweeted that during his stay in Pahalgam he managed to get 10 hours sleep after a long time and felt fresh and regenerated. In fact, he has been so relaxed that SRK switched his phone to ringing mode after keeping it on silent for years. In the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s, Kashmir was quite popular among filmmakers as a shooting location and blockbusters like "Kashmir Ki Kali", "Junglee", "Jab Jab Phool Khile" and "Mere Sanam" were shot in the Valley. Even Hollywood movie "A Passage to India" has breathtaking shots of the valley, especially of old Srinagar city areas. During over 22 years of separatist violence that began in early 1990s, the valley had virtually remained out of bounds for filmmakers. But now Bollywood has started returning to Kashmir, thanks to the improvement in the overall law and order situation here. Source: ApunKaChoice

Shah Rukh Khan to pay homage to Yash Chopra on his birthday

Yash Chopra, the creator of larger-than-life Bollywood romances, is considered the ultimate king of romance. And as he turns 80 on September 27, who better than the actor who brought those romances to life — Shah Rukh Khan — to pay an homage to the master filmmaker? It’s been learnt that SRK will be celebrating Chopra’s birthday in a special manner — with a personal conversation with the filmmaker about his journey in Bollywood. “Some of SRK’s biggest hits have been with Yashji and his banner. So, we will witness SRK talk to him about his life, films and his entire journey. It’s an homage to Yash Chopra. It was the Yash Raj Films team who came up with the idea, and Shah Rukh was very excited about it,” says an insider. SRK has also expressed his happiness at working with Chopra again in his latest, Jab Tak Hai Jaan. Many feel this might be his last directorial venture. “SRK is the only one from the present generation of actors who has worked so extensively with Yashji. The event is being planned on a big level. Yashji generally doesn’t face the camera,” reveals the insider. Although the venue is yet to be decided, SRK is likely to talk to Chopra on topics such as the grandeur of his movies, his films’ stylish heroines, his penchant for poetic love stories and also about his initial (non-romantic) films such as Waqt (1965), Daag (1973) and Deewar (1975). “Not many tend to remember that before making romantic films, Chopra also directed some intense ones,” adds the insider. Meanwhile, all information about Jab Tak Hai Jaan has been closely guarded. “They have just returned from Switzerland, where Yashji finished shooting the last song for the film. The schedule only required SRK and Katrina (Kaif). Now, the film is in post-production,” says the insider. While Chopra and SRK couldn’t be reached for comments, the spokesperson of their upcoming film confirms, “Yes, we are planning a special event with SRK on Yashji’s birthday. The details can’t be revealed right now.” The romantic hero is born Back in 1993, SRK broke away from the image of the conventional Hindi film hero with a negative role in Chopra’s Darr. According to the Encyclopedia of Hindi Cinema, “He defied the imageof the conventional hero in both these films (the other being Baazigar) and created his own version of the revisionist hero.” Two years later, the same banner, Yash Raj Films, turned SRK’s image on its head with Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge. And with that, the king of romance was born. Subsequently, SRK worked with Chopra on many romantic films like Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), Mohabbatein (2000), Veer Zaara (2004) and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (2008). Source: Hindustan Times

Review: Ek Tha Tiger

No Patriotism, Only Actionism for Lovism., Rating : * * & 1/2, Director : Kabir Khan, Producer : Aditya Chopra (Yash Raj Banner), Cast : Salman Khan, Kaitrina Kaif, Ranvir Shorey., Music by : Sohil Sen & Sajid-Wajid, Cinematography : Aseem Mishra, Released Date : 15th August 2012. What it is : A Boy & Girl meets, love, run, action and again meet. The movie is that's it. Yes People, if you think EK Tha Tiger is a Patriotic movie as it released on our Independence Day, you are absolutely wrong. The movie has nothing to do with patriotism. Yashraj has chosen the Day only to cash the occasion. If you are Hardcore Salman's Dabangg style's fan, it is quite worth for you but unlike his last Blockbusters, the movie doesn't give you the same happiness. Story : Tiger (Salman Khan) is a Spy of India's RAW agency who always be on different missions for his country. He is a very honest & a dedicated Officer until he meets his love interest Zoya (Katrina Kaif) on one of his Mission. Tiger was assigned a duty to observe a suspected Scientist who according to Raw, sharing Anti-Missile techniques to Pakistan. Tiger meets Scientist as a Writer through the help of Zoya who works as a caretaker of Scientist. Tiger & Zoya falls in love with each other but their love story takes a turn when both got to know that they belongs to same profession. Zoya is too an Agent who works for ISI (Pakistan's Intelligence agency). Both decides to run away from everything and makes their own world but RAW & ISI doesn't let it go smoothly for them. Rest of the story is all Dhishum - Dhishum (action) of Tiger to make his love story successful. Star Performance : Salman is at his best for Action, and Katrina is the same beautifully Dumb. Katrinal's appearance doesn't suits for the action scenes she performed. Salman & Katrina's chemistry is nothing to talk about much. Ranvir Shorey who played Tiger's trustworthy colleague, is average. Except Salman & Katrina other characters are just forgettable or they are in the film just to increase the character’s list. Music : The music is not one to remember after you leave the theater premise. It is absolutely not what is expected from Yashraj movies. Well the background score and special effects music is awesome. Final Verdict : This time too Salman has ran on Train with the only exception it’s not a local train, this time it was a Foreign Modern train runs on the public roads. The Action has full of Hollywood impact considering cashing Salman's plus point. Screenplay & script is fine but it’s very much predictable. Although the movie is full of action yet many places makes you feel it’s slow. After the interval Film takes some speed but again the speed remains with the action only. The Locations & Action are the USP of films including Salman – Katrina factor. Same as Kabool Express, the Director Kabir Khan has failed on proper execution of the story. At the point of time you feel it’s interesting . . . what will be next, at the same time you see what you have predicted in your mind. Well, when its Salman Khan's pure action film with Yashraj Banner, 70% people doesn't really require Review. The movie is most hyped and much awaited for the year which definitely makes profitable for Yashraj. Watch it or Not : If you are an Action freak especially for typical Salman's style you can definitely go for Ek Tha Tiger, but if you expecting fun, joy like Dabangg, Ready and his other blockbusters this one is not worth to watch with popcorn & Samosaz in theaters. Source: Page3***

Katrina Kaif always besides Salman Khan during his bad times

Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan’s relationship is a much talked about topic of the tinsel town these days. They have broken up a year back. But during the shooting of the upcoming film "Ek Tha Tiger" something is unquestionably brewing in between the two ex-flames. Their friendship is rock solid as usual. It was during the Big Boss season 4, when the break-up of Salman and Katrina was made official. Salman was wounded after the duo decided to call off the relationship and while he was hosting the show, Katrina appeared on the show to promote her movie. He made digs at Katrina, and Katrina clearly broke down a couple of times. But now we see a sea full of changes in situations. During the promotion of ETT, Salman was seen pulling the Barbie doll’s legs number of times, but there was no unpleasantness amongst them. In fact Salman praised Katrina highly for her efforts towards the film. During the time when Salman was ill, Katrina was always there to take care of him. But Salman Khan won’t be able to act in movies after "Dabangg 2" until and unless he goes under the knife for a critical surgery. Katrina has rescheduled her dates accordingly so that she can be with Salman when his operation takes place.Source: GaramGossips

Katrina Kaif loves Shahrukh Khan’s humour

Katrina Kaif and Shahrukh Khan are said to be bonding thick as thieves while shooting for Yash Chopra’s film in London. Shahrukh Khan, whose wit and sense of humour never goes into hibernation, has been wisecracking on everything trivial to important on the sets of the yet untitled romantic film being shot in London. And Katrina Kaif, who was shootingEk Tha Tiger with Salman Khanbefore joining the shoot of Yash Chopra’s film, is said to be enjoying Shahrukh’s wit, every bit. Moreover, Katrina Kaif is highly impressed by Shahrukh’s chivalry and decorum while shooting with her. According to a source, Shahrukh treats Katrina like a lady and is highly courteous to her. But that doesn’t mean he’s formal to her. In fact, SRK and Kat are on casual terms and are often spotted sharing a laugh. In a latest image that has appeared on the web, Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif are seen enjoying food on the sets of the film in London. Though Katrina and Shahrukh have been on friendly terms for a long while now, the chemistry between them was for all to see when Shahrukh Khan planted a kiss on Katrina’s cheek while performing at an award function. Recently, Shahrukh hinted about a romantic scene in the Yash Chopra film, apparently with Katrina Kaif. “On a lighter note realized u can't wear warmers if u want to do romantic scenes...they come in the way of ur coolness...or is it just me???” Shahrukh Khan tweeted a few days back. The London schedule of the Yash Chopra movie is for about 35 days, which means ample time for SRK and Katrina to spend together.
