Los Angeles, (IANS) Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas is set to present an award at the upcoming edition of the Golden Globe Awards.

The awards have announced its lineup of presenters for this weekend’s awards ceremony, reports ‘Variety’.

The list also includes George Clooney, Julia Roberts, Charli xcx, Snoop Dogg and “Heated Rivalry” stars Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams. Also presenting are Amanda Seyfried, Ana de Armas, Ayo Edebiri, Chris Pine, Colman Domingo, Dakota Fanning, Dave Franco, Diane Lane, George Clooney, Hailee Steinfeld, Jason Bateman, Jennifer Garner, Joe Keery, Judd Apatow, Julia Roberts, Justin Hartley, Kathryn Hahn, Keegan-Michael Key, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Hart, Kyra Sedgwick, Lalisa Manobal, Luke Grimes, Macaulay Culkin, Marlon Wayans, Melissa McCarthy, Mila Kunis, Miley Cyrus, Minnie Driver, Orlando Bloom, Pamela Anderson, Queen Latifah, Regina Hall, Sean Hayes, Snoop Dogg, Wanda Sykes, Will Arnett and Zoe Kravitz.

As per ‘Variety’, the presenters will take the stage throughout the show alongside returning host Nikki Glaser. Glaser said she aims to do plenty of roasting of execs like Netflix’s Ted Sarandos and billionaires in general. “They shouldn’t get their panties in a bunch over these jokes”, she said. “They’re on top. I never worry about offending them”.

Priyanka Chopra wishes ‘eternal queen’ Angelina Jolie on 50th birthday

Mumbai, (IANS) As Angelina Jolie turned 50, Indian actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas wished the Oscar winning-actress, whom the 'desi girl' lovingly called the “eternal queen.”

The film is scheduled to debut on Prime Video on July 2.

Priyanka Chopra says she’s proud of beautiful film ‘Anuja’

Mumbai, (IANS) Actress Priyanka Chopra says she is proud of the “beautiful film” “Anuja”,in which she serves as an executive producer.

Priyanka took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a snapshot of a news article from variety.com, which had the title “Netflix Acquires ‘Anuja,’ Oscar-Shortlisted Short Film Backed by Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mindy Kaling and Guneet Monga Kapoor”.

The Indian actress captioned it: “Proud of this beautiful film”.

As per the article on the publication, streaming giant Netflix has landed worldwide streaming rights to “Anuja,” the Oscar-shortlisted live-action short that counts Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Mindy Kaling and Academy Award winner Guneet Monga Kapoor among its backers.

Directed by Adam J. Graves “Anuja” tells the tale of a 9-year-old title character, who works in a back-alley garment factory with her older sister Palak. The narrative follows the young protagonist as she faces a decision that will impact both her future and her family.

The short, developed in partnership with Mira Nair’s Salaam Baalak Trust, features Sajda Pathan, in a leading role. The production team spans Graves Films, Shine Global Inc (Oscar winners “War/Dance” and “Inocente”), Krushan Naik Films and Salaam Baalak Trust.

Guneet said of ‘Anuja’ that it is a story of unparalleled courage, a film made with a lot of heart. Director Adam J. Graves delivers a message through an empowered and entertaining lens.

Priyanka Chopra shares BTS of a rainy day from the sets of ‘The Bluff’

Mumbai, (IANS) Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas experienced a full spectrum of events on the sets of her upcoming movie ‘The Bluff’.

On Thursday, the actress took to the Stories section of her Instagram, and shared a short video from the sets of the film which shows the drizzling. Priyanka says in the video: “It’s a rainy day on ‘The Bluff’. But, we don’t stop. Rain rain, go away, we want to play.”

The video shows huge blue screens with track marks mounted on the sets for VFX purposes. The actress geo-tagged the location of Gold Coast in Queensland.

Earlier, PC had shared several pictures from the sets of ‘The Bluff’ in which she was seen drenched in blood and bruises courtesy the realistic makeup and prosthetics. In one of the videos, PC asks her makeup artiste how she creates burnt hair, to which the latter responds by crushing breakfast cereals and sprinkling over her hair.

She wrote in the caption: “Bloody Fun times on #TheBluff Last week of filming! PS: fyi for the unversed, I’m on a film set and it’s all makeup. The 1800s on pirate ships were violent times! Incredible to see how every department on a film crew creates make-believe into reality. #magicofthemovies.”

The actress has wrapped up the filming for the movie and often shares the archival pictures and videos from the film's sets.

Parineeti Chopra denies getting Bollywood break because of Priyanka

The popular notion that Parineeti Chopra got her Bollywood break because of cousin sister Priyanka Chopra is quite misplaced.

Priyanka fulfils dad's dream with music debut

Mumbai: Actress Priyanka Chopra, who made her international music debut on Thursday with the unveiling of the single 'In My City' featuring Will.i.am., said she has fulfilled her father's dream of becoming a singer. "My parents got emotional when they heard the song. This was my dad's dream. It was my father's dream and he has come all dressed up and looking dapper today. My father is an incredible singer. I am happy my family, friends and everyone are here," Priyanka told reporters during the unveiling of her music single. "Music is part of my life. My dad has been my biggest influence with music," she said. "The heart of this album is Indian. It is a desi girl album. I am very nervous, and shivering a lot. We will be shooting for the video soon. Barfi! is India's entry for Oscars in Foreign Film category

The magic of Anurag Basu's Barfi! has worked. The heartwarming movie, about love between a deaf and mute boy and an autistic girl, has been chosen as India's official entry for the Academy Awards in the Best Foreign Language Film category. Movie Review: Barfi! is a must-watch

The ApunKaChoice movie review of Barfi!. It’s a great achievement for a Hindi film about deaf, mute, and autistic characters to not wallow in sympathy or self-pity, let alone pipe a grandiose ‘triumph of the human spirit’ kinda message down our throats. Barfi, a sweet, saline, emotive, evocative, witty, imaginative, heartfelt cinematic delicacy, steers happily clear of these stereotypes and tells us a story that leaves one deeply moved, though not without a few gripes. Set in Darjeeling and Kolkata, the story flits about non-linearly from present day to 1976 to 1972 to tell the tale of a mischievous and lively Barfi (Ranbir Kapoor), a deaf-and-mute livewire with always a trick or prank up his sleeve and a local cop (Saurabh Shukla) down his tail. He falls for Shruti (Ileana D'Cruz) already engaged to a handsome hunk in a Kolkatan college and three months away from her wedding. Barfi’s vivacity rubs off on her, but it’s a love story doomed to end in a separation. A family tragedy brings another girl into the picture. Jhilmil (Priyanka Chopra) is an autisticgirl from a rich family an uncaring father and apathetic mom. Director Anurag Basu weaves a rather gratuitous kidnapping plot into the story and Barfi is foisted with caring for Jhilmil whom he likes and slowly begins to love without realizing it until she’s taken away from him. Will this love story of Barfi also end in separation? It’s a sweet, charming, but complex tale told simply and smartly. It’s a story laced with humour and heartache in equal measure, but never does it get glum. Never do Barfi’s silences not speak, never does his self-sacrificing love not bring a tear to your eye, never do his antics fail to bring a smile. A viewer laughs through the tears, and cries between the giggles. Such is the overpowering effect of this marvelous film by Anurag Basu. It’s well-nigh a cinematic masterpiece from a director who knows his craft well. A masterpiece but for the little botch up Basu conjures in the form of a rather garbled sub-plot regarding a kidnapping intrigue in Jhilmil’s family. That’s my only gripe. But it’s a minor one. Rising to the challenge are the three lead players, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Ileana D’Cruz. With Barfi! Ranbir elevates himself to the status of a seasoned actor slipping effortlessly into the skin of the character and giving a performance that simply leaves one stunned. Kudos to him and Priyanka Chopra -- an actress with experimental streak and talent that seldom gets the praise it deserves -- who is unbelievably convincing as the autistic Jhilmil, with her convulsive, erratic body language and a highly expressive face. Kudos also for Ileana D’Cruz for a winsome portrayal of a girl who can’t follow her heart, and when she learns to, it’s too late. Ileana’s is the most impressive Bollywood debut this year, and it would be a shame if she’s ignored at the awards. Last but not the least, kudos to Anurag Basu for a film that’s honest, wonderful, well-written, superbly directed and with a music (Pritam) one won’t forget in a hurry. It’s a story coming straight from the heart and goes straight to the heart. A connect most potent in any form of storytelling. In short, Barfi! is a cinematic tour-de-force one shouldn’t miss. Bollywood wishes Eid Mubarak to fans and loved ones

Bollywood stars today took to micro-blogging site Twitter to wish their loved ones and fans 'Eid Mubarak'. Actor Shah Rukh Khan, who wanted to be back home to celebrate the festival, couldn't make it as he is shooting for Yash Chopra's untitled film in Ladakh. "Eid Mubarak to everyone. May Allah fill your life with happiness. Look forward to reading the Takbirat in an open space in Ladakh. Insha Allah," Shah Rukh Khan tweeted. "Eid Mubarak to all those celebrating today and advance wishes to others celebrating tomorrow. Inshallah Allah will accept your fasts and prayers. Have a blessed day!" tweeted actor Akshay Kumar. In some countries Eid is being celebrated today while for India the festival is on Monday. Besides wishing, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar and megastar Amitabh Bachchan urged everyone to maintain harmony and peace in the country. "Eid Mubarak.. Eid Mubarak.. Eid Mubarak..!! And among the Parsis, Navroze and for Hindu calendar, the beginning of auspicious month. Perplexing that most religious auspicious days fall in and about, together. An indicator for all of us to remain together," Bachchan posted on his blog. Farhan said, "This Eid, please make the effort to teach and spread the message of peace, tolerance & humanity. Anushka Sharma and John Abraham have topped the list of best bikini and beach body

According to a survey conducted bollywood’s hottest stars Anushka Sharma and John Abraham have topped the list of best bikini and beach body in India while Jessica Alba and David Beckham dominated globally. The Badmaash Company actress received 11 percent votes to top the list while Sunny Leone from Jism2 and actress Deepika Padukone came in second with 9 percent votes each. Priyanka Chopra and Bipasha Basu came in third with 7 percent votes each.
