Selena Gomez feels ‘really beautiful’ when she's not wearing make-up

Los Angeles, (IANS) Singer Selena Gomez feels she does not actually need to wear make-up in order to feel pretty.

"When I am everyday me, I'm not wearing that much because I do feel really beautiful sometimes and I just don't want to focus too much on it. And my job entails a lot of (make-up)," she said on Instagram.

She also talked about the ambition behind her make-up label Rare Beauty.

Gomez said: "I see what you guys see and I see people who have the most perfect skin and it's like, 'Wait, can make-up really do that?' And sometimes it's just yourself. It's what actually you are... that's exactly what we want to do at Rare is highlight the things that make you you."

The “Only Murders in the Building” star has enjoyed significant success as a singer and as an actress in her career but her beauty brand has seen her personal fortune top the $1 billion landmark, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

Gomez is actually worth an eye-watering $1.3 billion, according to Bloomberg, which has included the actress on its Billionaires Index for the very first time.

Despite this, Selena has no intention of selling her brand anytime soon.

She previously told TIME magazine: "I will admit it overwhelms me sometimes. I have this weird thing in my head where if I focus on the numbers, I’ll lose whatever it is that made Rare Beauty Rare Beauty. I never wanted it to be about making a lot of money and that’s it."

Gomez recently took to her Instagram, and shared several pictures and videos of herself attending a volleyball game in Telluride, Colorado.

The first picture in her carousel had a placard which reads, “Selena Gomez, please sing the National Anthem at one of the home games . Friday 6:00 pm, Saturday 1:00. THS volleyball team”.

In the following pictures, she could be seen interacting with the volleyball players and posing with them for the camera.

She wrote in the caption, “They asked!! Couldn’t help it, it’s my first time in Telluride”. Source: https://www.morungexpress.com/selena-gomez-feels-really-beautiful-when-shes-not-wearing-make-up

Celebs like Gwen Stefani, Jada Pinkett Smith, Kourtney Kardashian and Madonna are all A-List celebs that are well known for their daring and dashing style, but one would wonder, will this stylish flare carry on to their children. Below BornTooBlog has featured a fashion pictorial on just that; the A-List Style of some of your favorite celebrity kids...CHECK IT OUT:Kingston Stefani Rossdale, Mother: Gwen Stefani The offspring of Pop-Rock royalty Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale spawned stylish Kingston Stefani Rossdale. 1 of 2 of Gwen's young boys. Kingston is known for his colorful fashion palette and carefree style that mixes fashion genres and aesthetics. Kingston seems to love utility pockets where he can store his toys and check the new bleach blonde do! Look familiar? Lourdes Ciccone, Mother: Madonna , Lourdes Ciccone is Madonna's only biological daughter, whom she had with fitness trainer Carlos Leon in 1994. Although the courtship was short lived, it produced Lourdes, the spitting image of Madonna, blessed with an eye for fashion just like her mother. I predict that she will soon be the talk of the town a la Nicole Ritchie and Paris Hilton. Just give her a few years.Mason Kardashian, Mother: Kourtney Kardashian Mason Kardashian is the newest edition to the Kardashian Clan and his parents Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick are quite the stylish couple. They love to dress Mase in mature stripes, with black, white and grey hues in his play time. When its time to dress up, Mason is all about the glamour and prestige as he dons suits and sports coats much like his father Scott wears on a daily basis. This kid definitely has inherited the style gene on both sides. Suri Cruise Mother: Kati Holmes Suri is the resident DIVA of all celebrity offspring. And with a father like Tom Cruise, one of the most wealthy actors in Hollywood, why wouldnt she be? It has been said that Suri loves to dress herself, loves high heels, makeup and girly clothing and loves to tote a big girl purse/bag wherever she goes. Suri loves colorful print dresses, fancy heels with embellishments and flashy accessories that make her look like a little Hollywood princess. Willow Smith, Mother: Jada Pinkett Smith Willow busted onto the scene at a very young age with a rock star attitude and a Pop hit to boot (with her hit single "Whip My Hair"). Fashion is at the forefront of her image and she has been spotted sitting front row with her mother at fashions shows in Paris and London. Already known as the daughter of Hollywood royalty, Jada Pinkett and Will Smith, Willow has crawled from beneath the shadows of her talented actor brother Jaden, and has carved her own niche in fashion and music. Her style would be described as punker/rock/pop diva meets couture fashionista, always keeping it lively and fun with her plethora of hues, patters and textures. On A Side Note: The sad thing is that these kids throw away more clothes than I purchase in a year. Still looking to see if the Smith's or Kardashian's would like to adopt a 31 year old African American Fashionista to add to their brood...LOL! WEIGH IN Which A-List celebrity kid fashion do you like most? Who do you think is too over the top? Would you dress your children like this and why? If not, why not?  Source: Born Too Blog

Review: 'Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted' Is A Fun, Vibrant & Colorful Experience

What continues to feel like an animated U.N. PSA, the ever so cute Madagascar journey exits one continent (Africa), crash-landing us on another (Europe). With snarky antics and scenarios, Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted maintains its unique style of animated fun, however, this time around adding more humor, vibe and color. Alex the Lion (Ben Stiller), Marty the Zebra (Chris Rock), Gloria the Hippo (Jada Pinkett Smith), and Melman the Giraffe (David Schwimmer) are still scraping, fighting and reinventing ways to get home to their beloved NYC. Latching on to them are the usual, questionable, funny-buddies with King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen), Maurice (Cedric the Entertainer) and the hilarious
penguin gang. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they rehash – Madagascar style. Without question it doesn’t come at an easy price as jumping from one place to another, attracts unwanted attention, leading to a chase and possible capture – mainly Alex’s. Psyched by the idea of such a prized-capturing-possession, Europe’s best and flawless animal hunter, Captain Chantel DuBois (Francis McDormond) is contracted to take the mission. Accepting it, she declares a “game on” approach by any means necessary. From its opening scene, to its final, Europe’s Most Wanted has to be one of the best animated films this year. As it embarks on challenges and creative approach within their core, the script provides a hip and jovial feeling with a bit of maturity during moments calling for it. The balance between them gives off enough for children and adults to simultaneously enjoy it. Quickly, yet nicely paced, with what seemed to be an arc of achievements as
they come full-circle, the crazy antics, motion and music  behind scenes are well matched. Adding to the fun are new characters which include an Italian sea lion named Stefano (Martin Short), a gorgeous Italian jaguar named Gia (Jessica Chastain) and the trio’s leader, a bitter tiger named Vitale (Bryan Cranston). There wasn’t anything before end-credits determining a fourth (4th), but I’m pretty sure – like the first two (2) – with what will be a successful release (June 8), DreamWorks won’t have an issue mustering up another one. Fun summer flick to watch – recommend it! __________________Grade: A / Genre: Animation, Action/Adventure, Comedy and Sequel / Rated: PG / Run Time: 95 Minutes Starring: Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, Jada Pinkett Smith, David Schwimmer, Sacha Baron Cohen, Cedric The Entertainer Director(s): Eric Darnell, Conrad Vernon, Tom McGrath, © 2012 Starpulse.com, Photo Credits: Paramount Pictures , Source: Starpulse.com

Raj Kapoor's 'Awaara' in Time's 100 greatest films

MUMBAI: Time magazine has included Raj Kapoor's 1951classic Awaara among 20 new entries added to its All-Time 100 list of the greatest films made since 1923, the beginning of the prestigious US periodical. Rethinking the movie masterpieces, Time critic Richard Corliss describes Raj Kapoor as "the great star-auteur of India's postcolonial golden age of movies - Cary Grant and Cecil B. DeMille in one handsome package." "The '50s films he headlined and directed became huge hits not just in his newly freed homeland but also across the Arab crescent from Indonesia to North Africa," Time noted. Kapoor, who modelled his screen persona on Charlie Chaplin's Little Tramp, was 26 when he filmed Awaara (The Tramp). Time calls Awaara as "a glistening showcase for Kapoor and the great India siren Nargis (his lover onscreen and off)." "And of course it's a musical, whose main song, Awaara Hoon, by the famed Shanker-Jaikishan duo, soared to the top of the pop charts in India, the USSR and China." The original All-Time 100 list published in 2005 included Satyajit Ray's The Apu Trilogy, Mani Ratnam's Nayakan and Guru Dutt's Pyaasa. Bollywood composer A.R. Rahman's score for Mani Ratnam's Roja (The Rose), the tale of a woman whose lover is kidnapped by terrorists, was also among 10 Best Soundtracks. Last week, Time magazine ranked Bollywood director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 2002 film Devdas eighth among the ten greatest movies of the millennium (thus far).Source: Sam Daily Times

Kate Middleton Pregnancy Rumors Heat Up As She Nears Her First Anniversary With Prince William

Kate Middleton PEOPLE Magazine
Starpulse: As William and Kate approach their first wedding anniversary, insiders say all conditions are a go for a new addition to the prince and princess's blissful little family. This week's issue of PEOPLE features photos of their magical first year as husband and wife, and examines the Royal Baby Fever sweeping Britain.Right now, the biggest sport in the U.K. is Princess Bumpwatch 2012. Never mind the upcoming Summer Olympics in London. There's Kate, strategically holding a purse in front of her tummy at a December concert. (She's got a royal bun in the oven!) There she is on March 17, sipping sherry at a St. Patrick's Day event honoring the Irish Guards. (On second thought…) And – hang on – would a pregnant woman fly down the slopes in the French Alps, tucked into a fitted jacket and skinny pants, no less? "She is a tidy little skier and really slim," says Pete Davies, who was working at the Courcheval resort in France's famed Three Valleys when Kate and William vacationed there with her family at the end of March. (For the record, some obstetricians caution against skiing during pregnancy.) But while the baby drumbeat has increased to a fever pitch around them, the couple themselves appeared blissfully at ease, squeezing in romantic one-on-one time as well as cross-generational bonding with Kate's parents, Mike and Carole Middleton, and her siblings Pippa and James.Nearly one year after William, 29, and Kate, 30, exchanged "I dos" in the epic April 29 wedding that charmed the world, family, friends and royal watchers alike are holding their collective breath for the announcement of a future prince or princess on the way. After revealing their engagement in November 2010, Kate talked openly of the hope to "have a happy family ourselves," and William said they "obviously" wanted kids. After all, "continuity of the monarchy depends on William producing an heir," says veteran royal watcher Judy Wade. "And a baby would put a seal on William and Kate's happiness." Characteristically, the Palace is remaining mum, though it's recently shown an increased sensitivity to speculation on the subject. And there may be reason to look forward to royal pitter-patter sooner rather than later: For starters, a Palace source confirms that the couple quietly "shelved" a hoped-for trip to Africa in the spring. While a busy calendar may have been the culprit – in addition to the Olympics, the pair also will participate in the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June – medical experts note that several recommended vaccinations for Africa travel can be harmful to a fetus. Most significantly, a royal insider points to a major factor that could influence the couple's decision: friends with kids. Watching their friends become parents "does help" boost William and Kate's decision to follow suit, a family insider tells PEOPLE. But as the couple continue to ready their nest at Kensington Palace, Wade and other longtime royal watchers doubt that the ever-savvy Kate – who enjoys a remarkably close bond with the Queen – would overshadow Her Majesty's jubilee with a pregnancy announcement. And yet there is no question that when the time is right, the couple will prove themselves natural parents.  With their first anniversary fast approaching, a Palace source says the couple will mark the occasion in a "low-key" manner. Yes, they did save the top of their magnificent white-frosted wedding fruitcake – not to be eaten on their first anniversary, but rather to be served at their first child's christening, per British tradition. When will that be? "Like any couple, they will let nature and life take its course," says a royal insider. "It will be a joint decision, and they will make it when they're ready."Source: Starpulse.com

Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga among Time's 100 fashion icons

Lady Gaga
Indian Express, Agencies : London, Time magazine has listed the world’s 100 most influential style superstars in anticipation of its annual poll. While child actors-turned-designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, the First Lady and the ‘monster mother’ Lady Gaga made it to the list, many big-names and fashion pioneers failed to feature, the Daily Mail reported. Divided into categories, the list is fairly exhaustive and includes designers and brands, models, muses, photographers and editors and stylists, whose careers stretch back to 1923 when Time launched. Still, as with any list-making endeavour, there were bound to be oversights. The 25-year-old Olsen duo join iconic creators such as Miuccia Prada, Coco Chanel and Christian Dior on the Designers and Brands list, which seems a strange choice when many prominent and highly influential succeeding designers, save for John Galliano, and Karl Lagerfeld, were clearly missing. Raf Simons, Christopher Bailey and Hedi Slimane, who is credited for bringing skinny jeans to the mainstream, were all left off the list, which doesn’t include any notable retailers either, such as Andrew Saks and Ikram Goldman. However a few head-turners made the cut, such as Sarah Blakely, the inventor of Spanx, who Time said “has helped shape the modern woman – literally”. Jacques Heim and Louis Reard, the men who invented the two piece swimsuit, which eventually became the bikini, also featured. On the list of Editors and Stylists, others may wonder where the more mainstream visionaries are who have made an impact, like Rachel Zoe. While more predictable mentions were included, such as Anna Wintour and Grace Coddington, renowned fashion critics Cathy Horyn and Suzy Menkes were both left out. This is mostly noteworthy for the fact that Robin Gavensen, however, was mentioned. She is the Pulitzer prize winning Daily Beast writer who Karl Lagerfeld publicly claimed to have never heard of, after she wrote a less than shining review of his current designer status. Michelle Obama joins former First Lady Jackie Onassis in the muses category, who sit alongside the likes of Lady Gaga, Brigitte Bardot and Andy Warhol - however Warhol’s own iconic muse, Edie Sedgwick, is noticeably missing. In the models category, Nineties supers including Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss make an appearance, but Claudia Schiffer, ‘The Body’ Elle Macpherson and Christy Turlington were left off. Gisele Bundchen, who topped the Forbes magazine World’s 10 Top-Earning Models in May last year, is listed, but as far as newer faces go it ends with her. Younger iconic faces like Lara Stone and Coco Rocha were left off, who have made waves in both editorial aspects of the modelling industry as well as their role in helping to re-shape it, bringing attention to its body issues and labour issues, respectively. While Heidi Klum was counted, Tyra Banks, who as well as building a a successful empire, was the first African-American woman to feature on covers of both the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and Victoria’s Secret catalogue, was surprisingly missing. Time magazine’s top 100 fashion icons included: Giorgio Armani, Pierre Cardin, Coco Chanel, Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, Tom Ford, Calvin Klein, Karl Lagerfeld, Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen, Levi Strauss, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, Heidi Klum, Kate Moss, The Beatles, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Madonna, Michelle Obama, Princess Diana, Source: Indian Express
