Madhuri hopes to act with Big B one day

Mumbai, Dec 13 (IANS) Shaking a leg with megastar Amitabh Bachchan once is not enough for actress Madhuri Dixit. She hopes to act with him someday and is keeping her fingers crossed for that. The two were seen dancing together in "Makhna" in the 1998 film "Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan" along with Govinda. "There were nearly three films which we did together, but they never happened. I am keeping my fingers crossed. Maybe, something will work out," Madhuri told IANS. But at the moment, she is busy promoting "Dedh Ishqiya". "It's crazy. It needs a lot of energy. Everybody is doing it and it seems to be the part of whole thing. I don't know how much benefit we'll get from promotions, but we are doing our best," said the star, who will be seen on the silver screenafter seven years. Sonakshi Sinha is now coming with her fourth big banner and big star cast movie ‘Son of Sardar’, the actress opened up her feelings as to her new film and to her career so far.

Is it a different experience doing a Punjabi background film? Yes, of-course! When you do Punjabi background film, it is very happening; I had a lot of fun on set. Every day of shooting Son of Sardar is memorable; we shot in all seasons in Punjab. I loved Punjabi culture, Punjabi people, they are very co-operative and big hearted. How was it working with Director Ashwni Dhir? Oh! My Director is fabulous, very nice and very talented. Because he is too a Punjabi guy, it was easy to understand the character from him. I got it easier to perform the role. Really it was wonderful to have worked with him. Becoming the Punjabi girl, was it a quite difficult? No, not such, I mean I just loved my character of Jiya who is more talkative and happy go lucky girl. It was a different experience to be a Punjabi Kudi but I enjoyed every bit of character, it will be one of favorite character I have played. You ride a bike, that too Ajay Devgan trained you . . .Oh yes, I have taken proper one month training for bike riding, he (Ajay) taught me some part. I learnt for one month while shooting. I did some stunt for the first time, I informed my Mom later. Thankfully, my mom wasn’t there when I was doing stunts otherwise she would have never allowed me to do any. So can we say Son of Sardar is full fresh Action film? No, not exactly because this film has every kind of ‘Masala’, there is action, drama, emotions, comedy everything . . . it is a typical commercial Action-Romance film. Action-Romance films has so far worked for you, so will you be in the Box now? So far so good such films are working I won’t be having any problem doing Action-Romance. These films have reallyturned profitable for me and I feel happy that I have been a part of such films. But that doesn’t mean I will be in a box, no way . . . I m even coming with verities, there is Once Upon a Time with Emraan Hashmi and Lootera with Ranveer Singh. Lootera role is something that I haven’t done so far, it’s very emotional and touchy. I have put lot of efforts for Lootera. So far you have played ‘Desi’ girl type roles, so now are you open for some glamour’s roles? I think my audiences have appreciated me for whatever roles I have done they like it. I have no complaints for roles I m doing. I don’t choose my roles on what the character has to wear, if I like the role and the script I go for it. If I get a character where I have to wear western clothes and if I m comfortable wearing it, I will do it. Do you feel pressure of success? Oh! God, if I think so much and take pressure of success and all, my brain will blast. (Laugh) I just do my work, when it get appreciated, I feel happy. I do care about the expectations that others have from me but I never take any pressure of responsibilities. How you choose the film? Simply if I like the role and script and yes of-course when I choose the film, it is combine decision which include advice and guidance of my parents because they are more experienced than me. Hollywood actress Naomi Watts is "touched" by Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi's work for the rehabilitation of the tsunami-hit families in Tamil Nadu. She has even written a letter to him, appreciating his work. In 2004, Vivek had adopted a Tamil Nadu village named Thevanapattinam, and worked towards rehabilitating the affected families. "Words really fail to express how touched I am to see the work you have done for the rehabilitation of the tsunami-hit families in Thevanapattinam, Tamil Nadu. It takes a lot of courage and immense devotion to be able to take up such a responsibility on one's shoulders," Naomi Watts wrote in the letter. (See the letter on the next page) The actress, who plays the role of tsunami survivor in The Impossible, says it is hard for her to imagine the pain that the families had gone through during the 2004 calamity. "While filming some of the scenes of 'The Impossible', I came close to realising the unimaginable grief and pain the families must have gone through in December 2004 when the tsunami hit their shores. Madhuri serious about doing comedy films

Mumbai: After winning hearts of millions of fans with her emotion-filled acting and dancing skills, Madhuri Dixit now wants to show her funny side on screen. The popular Bollywood actor, who currently has two films in her kitty, says she is open to doing all kinds of roles and does not want to restrict herself to certain characters. Considering that Madhuri has heavy duty roles in her upcoming movies 'Gulab Gang' and 'Dedh Ishqiya', she now wants to try something light a comedy, fun film. "I am open to anything (in films). I would love to do something that is fun... I would love to do comedy. I would like to do a lot of things. It depends on what I am offered, it depends what I like and what excites me," Madhuri told PTI in an exclusive interview here. "It is not that I have restricted myself (to certain roles and films). Right now I am busy with two films. I have `Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' (a dance reality show on TV) coming up and have this online dance academy," the `Dhak Dhak' girl said about her projects and life in the film industry. She would be seen next in 'Gulab Gang', produced by Anubhav Sinha, alongside Juhi Chawla, Mahie Gill and Shilpa Shukla among others. The film, directed by Soumik Sen, is a story of a gang of women fighting against social injustice. "Gulab Gang is shaping up really well. I am enjoying doing it. I have a very strong role in the film," the 45-year- old star said. Her next project is Vishal Bharadwaj's 'Dedh Ishqiya', a sequel to 2010 movie 'Ishqiya', where she will be seen alongside veteran Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi. "For 'Dedh Ishqiya' we haven't started shooting yet. We will start in a couple of days. I am sure it will be fun working with Naseerji and Arshad as both are fabulous actors. It is an honour to work with him (Naseeruddin). 'Inocente' Oscar Win Proves Power Of Kickstarter

In the three years since Kickstarter was founded, movies funded by users on the site have won one Academy Award and received six nominations. Inocente became the first "crowd funded" film on Kickstarter to win an Academy Award, winning for best documentary short subject. Two other films that generated funds through the website were nominated in both short documentary and full length: Kings Point and Buzkashi Boys. 294 backers put in over $50,000 into Inocente via the website, with four backers offering $2,500 a piece. Kickstarter allows those seeking funds to reward backers at certain

Shailene Woodley offered 'Spider-Man 2' role

Jennie Garth: How She Dropped 30 Pounds & A Ton Of Baggage

After a painful divorce, Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Jennie Garth opens up exclusively in this week's issue of PEOPLE about losing 30 lbs., pulling her life together after her eleven-year marriage to Twilight's Peter Facinelliended, and diving back into the dating pool. "I spent a couple of years lying in bed and being depressed," Garth tells PEOPLE. "Physically, I didn't look my best, and mentally I didn't feel my best. I was doing everything I could to be a good mom, but that was all I could handle." After several months of introspection and isolation, not to mention her milestone 40th birthday in April, Garth realized she needed to get herself back in the game. "I just looked at it like there's no way I can hide out in the country and never work again, never love again, and never laugh again," says Garth, who moved from the Santa Ynez, California ranch where she had retreated after the split to Los Angeles in July with her and Facinelli's three daughters, Luca, 15, Lola, 9, and Fiona, 6. The past year, she explains, "has been a bit of a rebirth for me as a person by shedding that negative space and all the pain associated with that time." Emotional baggage isn't all that Garth lost: The newly svelte actress has dropped "30 lbs. of dead weight." After all, she jokes, "sitting around on the couch eating Pringles all day is not going to help anybody." Thanks to twice-weekly sessions with a personal trainer and more sensible eating habits, Garth regained her girlish figure, which she now has on display in her new Old Navy TV commercial with former 90210 pals Luke Perry and Jason Priestley. Perry can't stop raving about his pal's amazing transformation. "She looks fabulous," says Perry, who is developing a sitcom with Garth. In support of the album, Katy's "Teenage Dreams Tour" sold out in 124 venues around the world and the tour was the subject of a 3D documentary based on her 2011 tour. The film, Katy Perry: Part of Me, is the fourth biggest music documentary ever. Who looks lovely: Kareena Kapoor or Priyanka Chopra?

The finale of the telly show saw both Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra promoting their respective films Heroine and Barfi!. The two ladies made separate appearance on the show, and wowed one and all with their style. Kareena looked ravishing in a Manish Malhtora orange sari and pink blouse with some intricate work done on it. In accessories she had statement earrings but kept her neck bare. Priyanka, on the other hand, opted for a short Ramona Narang dress with a hemline that ended way up her thighs. The sideward drape of the dress was surely classy, and Priyanka, with her lush tresses loose, didn’t complement it with too much accessory, save for a thin bracelet on her left wrist. The gig also saw both Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra shaking their leg on stage. While, Kareena danced to ‘Halkat Jawani’, Priyanka did look a bit conscious of her short dress while dancing to a ‘Barfi!’ number. Two pretty ladies dressed to stun. Who gets your Like?
